“I’ve been watching you for awhile, Caim. Before tonight, I mean.”  The voice seemed to steer out from the overall darkness, entrancing, melodious, charming. Sounds of steps came from the same darkness, heavy and metallic, like a horse padding on the floor. 

And a shadow motioned through it, slowly leaving the dark back end street into the shape of a tall man with a dark skin and black hair. His golden eyes seemed to shine in all that dark, just as perhaps the light reflection of the nearest street lamp projecting a warm halo on what seemed to be a pair of rough and pointy horns, black, black feathers and goat like hoofs. 

The vision, however, lasted for a second, or so. The feathers melted in a blink into a long black trench coat on which’s pocket the man had tugged his hands, the horns just a mirage and the hoofs now merely a pair of luxury Italian shoes. But the golden eyes remained, posed on the other male with a certain cockiness, as if arriving late to an appointment, and actually blaming the other for their wait.
