En esos momentos nada parecía importarle más que sentir la mirada de Miguel sosteniendo la suya. Era como si pudiera verle por horas y horas, sin cansarse, sin desear otra cosa que no fuera perderse en esos ojos hermosos.

Se acurrucó más contra su pecho, deleitándose con el sonido del latir de su corazón, acompasado, arrullador. Nicolás se sentía a salvo entre los brazos del más alto, como nunca se había sentido antes. Era como si su cuerpo estuviera hecho precisamente para él, para encajar en ese sitio, en ese momento preciso en el que ambos retozaban sobre la hierba verde, lejos de cualquier mirada acusadora o de murmullos que sólo contenían veneno.

--Quisiera que pudiéramos quedarnos así siempre. --murmuró, rompiendo con el suave silencio que los rodeaba. Un suspiro melancólico y anhelante abandonó sus labios al levantar el rostro para mirar al mayor. --Así no tendría que extrañarte nunca cuando no estás...

Late visits to Theo's got him all grumpy. Sometimes it was followed with a smack to the head or the like, adding further damage to the hurt Tagged but a patient was a patient. Tonight was one of those days, that came with a late, unwarranted visit. In place of Theo was Alice, who he was getting somewhat accustomed to seeing, seemingly occupied with something. Nothing to indicate he lingered nearby but the sudden rasp of his voice. "ᴅO YᴏU ɴORᴍAʟLʏ Gᴏ ᴛHɪS LᴏɴG WɪTʜᴏᴜT sLᴇEP?" /Insomnia starters

     The sound of his voice had her turning around, smiling at the sight of him. “Oh, hi Nico.” She was handling blood samples and couldn’t put them down right then to sign her answer, so she kept facing him so he could read her lips. “You might want to ask Theo that.” Alice had some workaholic tendencies just like any doctor, and she often lost track of time when researching. But she valued her rest. Theo seemed to push himself a lot, and whenever she came by to exchange notes or chemicals with him, she often handled things for him so he could take a break.

“I just help out sometimes so he can get some extra sleep and Nina will have less to cover later.” She explained, turning back to the desk and safely putting the properly labeled samples away to be tested later. Taking off her gloves and discarding them, she rubbed some alcohol over her hands and fingers and plucked a fresh pair from a nearby box.

“How can I help you?” Stepping closer to Nicolas, the doctor motioned to an empty bed so she could examine him, hoping it was something she could deal with herself so she wouldn’t have to wake Theo.

     There was something off about him today. For that handful of occasions in which their paths crossed, he’d always seemed sharp. Maybe even dangerously so. Unless he was standing next to Nina, then he was all softness. But that was an expected outcome. The thought made her smile inwardly, well aware that fondness for the little nurse was pretty much universal.

Today; however, he seemed unfocused. His usual guarded quietude replaced by a tiredness that weighed down the angling of his broad shoulders. It was also unusual for Theo himself to be absent from his own clinic, but she knew that she didn’t have to worry about the good Doctor. He could take care of himself. She was there for a special delivery, so she would be waiting for his return anyways. If she could help out one of his patients meanwhile, even better.

“Oh, whoops.” She repeated the corrected sign, as a way of saving it to memory and to apologize for the mishap. “I still get tripped up by American sign language.” She was a little better with British sign language, but not by much. “I am pretty good with Japanese, though.” Alice declared proudly with a smile. “Would that be okay?”

He seemed reluctant to discuss his health, which was fair enough. She was aware of Theo’s practice, and could very well be considered a partner given what she supplied him with. But none of his patients were aware of it. So she would keep it casual. I’m Alice. Deft hands moved in accordance to JSL with a lot more confidence than before, going on to explain that she was a colleague of Theo’s. She considered them more than that, but calling herself his friend sounded weird even to her own ears.

You look a little tired. Alice pointed out, claiming the seat across from his. Have you eaten anything today? She always had a couple of nutrition bars inside her bag for when she worked double shifts or was called to the field. Having skipped breakfast herself due to being a little too excited over what she was bringing for Theo, she had half a mind to sneak into the kitchen and make herself something to eat.

Me again, the shipper. :-) Is there anything else you'd be willing to share about him? What it's like when he smiles? Something special he did for you that no one else knows about?

You're so cute. I love when you send me messages. Naturally, I would say that I should avoid these things but I've been learning that the only way to move forward is to deal with things and accept them. He was apart of my life and I accept that. Seeing him smile - even on a rainy day - was like a little bit of sunlight that would make it's way through our darkness and into our eternal damnation. For someone that has so much sadness within his life, his smile is such a blessing to see. Truly a beautiful thing, something to treasure because he may not give you a genuine one often. He can deny it all he wants but he is beautiful. Don't they say that you don't see yourself clearly? Because we've never actually seen ourselves in person. As people, we've seen ourselves in photographs or mirrors...but never have we met ourselves and he is beautiful. If I told you something special he did for me, it wouldn't be a secret that dies with the two of us, would it? -grins- What else do you want to know?

I'm sorry to keep asking about Nicolas, but I'm so intrigued by the brief relationship you had with him. Can you tell us about a tender time between the two of you?

-Blinks- Thank you for the apology...I wonder why you find this so fascinating, hm? Would you indulge me with such an answer?

There are a few tender times with him that I treasure - be it the ones in the middle of our relationship or the final moments we shared at the end of it before we took our separate ways. Shall I indulge you with a memory? Towards the end of our relationship, there were many things that had to be said still and there were things of his that I had with me in London and things of mine that he had back at his place in San Francisco. I had made the decision to go see him in order to give his things back to him and to collect my belongs as well as to have a discussion with him about how things were going.

Things should have simply ended there, yes? A fade to black on an entire relationship or a simple goodbye and walking away after the brief time spent together with tears, happiness and such things but that is not how we work.

Our lips crashed together after words exchanged, messy and sad kisses in the midst of my frustrated tears. Clothing shed as we made love on the couch, laying silently within each others arms afterwards in reflection. The infamous duvet that I loved dearly - one that he often wrapped around me in moments of my struggling - was draped over our naked bodies. It seemed like a too perfect ending to a flawed relationship.

big spoon/little spoon:I feel like Nicolas and Sven would alternate depending on the mood but I think Sven would be the big spoon quite often.

favorite non-sexual activity: Just laying together and cuddling? Sven reading various things to Nicolas.

who uses all the hot water: Nicolas, because I don't like to admit that I take long showers

most trivial thing they fight over: The value of material items and small forms of miscommunication

who does most of the cleaning: Sven stress cleans so I feel like Sven would be the one doing a lot of house work.

what has a season pass on their dvr/who controls the netflix queue: Nicolas probably because Sven doesn't really watch a lot of

who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: Sven because he sort of knows what to do about all of that.

who steals the blankets: I feel like Nicolas would do that sometimes just to bug Sven, even though he doesn't really need the blankets.

who leaves their stuff around: I think they are both at fault with this at times.

who remembers to buy the milk: Nicolas doesn't eat human food so Sven remembers for himself.

who remembers anniversaries: Both of them. 

how often do they fight?: Not too often but I do feel like the play fight sometimes.

what do they do when they’re away from each other?: I have no idea what Nicolas does in his spare time but Sven usually spends his time away from Nicolas reading or being around Lestat.

nicknames for each other?: Sven calls him Nicolas or 'amour'. Nicolas calls him Sven or 'amour'

who is more likely to pay for dinner?: -really hates these cause Sven is the only one who eats- So Sven?

who steals the covers at night?: -basically wrote the same thing above-

what would they get each other for gifts?: Roses and thoughtful little things such as that. Nothing too extreme or cost worthy, you can't show love with extreme purchases can you?

who kissed who first?: Nicolas kissed Sven first.

who made the first move?: Nicolas.

who remembers things?: They both do.

who started the relationship?: It was mutual?

who cusses more?: Neither of them swears a lot but I'd imagine if it had to be anyone, it'd probably be Nicolas?

what would they do if the other one was hurt?: Though Sven is a lot less stronger then Nicolas, he'd still try to do whatever he could to help him and I'd imagine that Nicolas would try do do whatever he could to help Sven.
