Bad, bad, bad, this was very bad--!!!
Before, he’d have assumed the ‘monsters’ people had been speaking of were some form of illusion. Maybe some form of magic that assailed a person’s senses and made them believe they were being attacked. But now? He was absolutely certain these creatures were real.
On top of being assailed by some giant snakes only he was able to see, it seemed like there were monsters he couldn’t see, but others could. Was exactly was going on? He didn’t know for sure, but for now he could only call out to his unexpected ally as he noticed a slithering shadow shifting behind her--
“Nine! B-Behind you, on your right!!”
