Huh, this was new, Erik mused from the wall he was leaning against, hidden partially in the shadows. He hadn’t seen anyone even remotely like... he didn’t even know what to call them, aside from different and definitely not from anywhere in Erdrea he knew of.

“You lost or somethin’?” he asked finally, tilting his head slightly. “You definitely don’t look to be from around these parts.. or bloody well anywhere in Erdrea that I know of.”

“Hey, watch where you’re aiming that thing! You almost hit me with that!” the redhead yelled, having just narrowly avoided getting hit with a large beam of... something that came from the other’s finger. “The hell was that, anyway?” To him, it had looked like some smaller version of his Lost Fon Drive, except he was firing his out of one finger.

“You could have told me about that earlier, y’know. Would have been nice to know I would end up having to avoid really big beams coming towards me.” Okay, so he was a little irritated, but the guy had nearly hit him dead-on with one of those things, he had the right to be a bit irritated. “And who is that girl that keeps stalking us? She’s not very good at hiding.”

“...I’m guessing you’re some kind of spirit, cause I’ve never seen humans float unless it’s with some kind of arte.” He’d met spirits before, too, he could see them thanks to the sentience he was fused with. “Not sure what kind, though.”

“....That took longer than I would have liked... but it’s good to be back at least.” The redhead had made himself comfortable in a tree, or at least as comfortable as one could be while laying in a tree, and was at current glancing around at the birds in the branches above him.

Really, at this point he shouldn’t be surprised, he’d heard stories of far worse by now and considering he’d done this exact thing at every single town they’d visited…

Yeah, he really shouldn’t be surprised, but it still had him letting out an exasperated sigh. …And he wondered why he was shit at stealth.

“…It’s a good thing we’re not on the run anymore, at least…” he murmured, running a hand through his hair, but still giving the other a disapproving look despite that.

There were things the cyanette liked keeping to himself, most of it being about himself, keeping things vague and not really telling anything. One of the things not many knew about him was the fact that he liked animals; while dogs and wolves were divided on taking a liking to him, he strangely never had an issue with cats except in rare instances.

So when he saw a cat approaching, he couldn’t help but crouch down and try to coax it over with some fish he had left over, talking to it in the process. “Hey, little one, you hungry?”

“Uh... I dunno why you’re here, but you might wanna leave, it’s not exactly a good place to be hangin’ around.” Granted, there were times he tended to run around the seedier parts of town, but this was a castle, and usually those that came to a castle had business.

Personally, Erik still found it a bit funny that a thief was still let into a castle freely, without them worrying about him in the least.
