mina didn’t visit her idol friends parents often, the parents she was most familiar with was jiwon’s and jimin’s both for rather obvious reasons. but both her and naeun had left the conclusion open for the fact that they were close enough ( being each other’s best female friends tended to have this effect on one another. ) for mina to finally being introduced to naeun’s parents, as well. and one day in the bright may, that seemed to finally happen.
the two girls were laying outside in the cool grass and glancing up at the clouds, naeun who somewhat understood mina’s sometimes childish mind was tagging along with pointing out the different shapes they both saw from the clouds and then laugh at it in a way only two close friends could. it was almost like a scene taken out from an old movie. the warm sunlight where hitting their face when mina pointed out one of the other clouds, bringing the japanese girl to mumble out the words in a shy demanor. “this one is a flower, just like unnie.” mina nodded her head.
naeun sideeyed mina, as previously stated, naeun was one of the people who were tolerating and understanding the childishness lingering beneth mina’s usually shy behaviour and one of the people who were seeing her as the girl she was being, somewhat loud and wild but still softer than most people out there. but even the elder woman would be passing on a judgemental glance at mina’s direction when mina was in one of those moments when blurting out different random things. this moment wasn’t a time when naeun would just glance at mina and chuckle, or judge her. but despite trying her finest to not display it, mina could sense the way the other that naeun was finding the behaviour of mina a little bit odd. but mina just gave it a brief chuckle for the moment.
mina and naeun were somewhat shaped the same way. a little bit timid, a little bit shy and silent and not opening up to other people easily, it was a fun friendship the two of them were having. they had had their fights and they weren’t easily giving in to one another, but something seemed to click so well between the two of the, they understood each other and hence to that they also were opening up to each other in possibly the best kinds of ways. “unnie is a beautiful flower.” mina spoke with a short nod, she wasn’t good at opening people and telling them how genuinely she was caring for them and naeun knew of that. “you’re too cute,” naeun chuckled, pressing a short peck at the crown of mina’s head. for two girls who weren’t all too good with expressing themselves, them both new exactly what those praises of one another’s behaviour and cuteness was meaning. the ‘ i love you ‘s hidden behind there.
