“Get out!” The man yelled at her, Penny wincing at the anger in his voice. She didn’t think she’d done anything, simply looked around the store but it was clear that he didn’t want her there. Perhaps she hadn’t blended in as well as she thought she had. She was better at pretending to be human, but she was in no means perfect.
“But, sir-”
“Out!”
The man shoved her in her shoulder, causing her to stumble into a woman behind her. “Oh. Oh! I’m sorry, ma’am. I-” This exploration thing really wasn’t going well.
