Regrets of Returning || Zelena & Jillian
She remembers making the plan so long ago. It had seemed like the most logical thing to do. The only way that she could take away Regina’s happiness was to become the one person who could come between Regina and the man she loved; that same man’s late wife. She had failed at her first plan, so when she feigned her own death during Rumple’s attempt at her murder, she found herself thinking that it would be best if she only returned once she had succeeded in something. How could she have faced Jillian in the wake of so much failure? So she devised a plan - a plan that would end with her succeeding to execute it and being welcomed back into Jillian’s waiting arms.
She had been waiting patiently for months now, and although she was in Storybrooke she rarely ever saw Jillian. Eventually she believed that it was time to finally return to Jillian. Regina had suffered enough for the plan to be called at least somewhat of a success, and with each passing moment she missed Jillian’s warmth more so. When she finally turned back into her own body it was, to say the less, strange. She had been so used to walking around in another women’s body - a shorter women with a different colour of hair and skin, whose finger tips didn't twitch with magic. There was a sense of unfamiliarity while being in her own body, and with it came a longing for Jillian’s embrace.
That night Zelena made her way over to Jillian’s apartment. Her heart beating faster with nervous anticipation as she neared the door.With a hesitant hand Zelena reached out and knocked.
