aisling knew it was wrong to leave her pack without an alpha, no matter how temporary she believed it would be. still, she tried to come back to the apartments on the o’phelan land as little as possible, and when she did, she tried to avoid her pack so she wouldn’t have to answer difficult questions––so they didn’t have to see her so weak. she’d just hauled another large pack of rations and camping equipment onto her back and was backing out of her room when simon was coming down the hallway. “fuck,” she hissed, tensing up and freezing on the spot.
