THE WOLF || TATTOO 3/3

“There are nights where the wolves are silent and only the moon howls.”

Located on the front of the left thigh, this tattoo is one symbol for her love of animals but also her lone wolf behaviour. She likes her own space and has no problems being on her own which is why the quote above feels more meaningful to her than most would realize. This is Scarlett’s 3rd tattoo.

WANDERLUST  || TATTOO 2/3

Not all who wander are lost.

Scarlett has always wanted to see the world. She likes to understand different cultures that she has read about. The summer before starting at Monarch, she did a tour of some countries in Europe and there are still plenty of places that she would love to visit in the future. Ignoring the picture, this tattoo is located on her left side where her ribs are.

FEMINIST || TATTOO 1/3

“Life is not a competition between men and women. It’s a collaboration.”

Scarlett is a keen feminist who cares a lot about equality between men and women. She’s always been passionate about it. Her mother was a strong figure of her household. She still worked as a model as well as being a mother who was always there for a children unlike her father who cared more about his career than spending time with his kids - only to try and buy their love instead. It is below her collarbone on the left hand side so it is closer to her heart. This was Scarlett’s first tattoo that she got with a fake ID saying she was eighteen.

     Rosalina now has two tattoos because I said so. On her upper back, spanning across her shoulder blades, a large tattoo resides, looking like a mixture of these two tattoos here and here. A moon with its smooth curve facing downward sits centered in a field of constellations, smaller groves of stars clustered around the larger connections. It takes up a considerable portion of her back, but the moon part is the only bit commonly seen, thanks to her shoulderless dress. Otherwise, a different outfit will be needed to see the entire thing. 

     Her second one is a sleeve down her left arm. Again, often covered, but viewable if wearing a different type of outfit. It’s a scene of variously-sized shooting stars, coating her arm from below the shoulder to a little before her wrist. Some are connected by lines to form more constellations, though most simply looking like a starry night sky. 

     Rosalina’s natural magic has worked its way into the stars, too, having them give off a separate light glow like her body does as well. It’s far from seeable in the day, but at night, or a particularly dark setting, the tattoos underneath her clothes can shine through and appear visually.

When and why did you get this tattoo ?

"The one in my wrist? Well, I had it done a few years ago, when I became the headmistress. I wanted something related to potioncraft, what is basically a branch of alchemy, so I chose one of my favorite ingredients: Poison Ivy. It is associated with power and immortality, will, endurance and perseverance. The number is also related to potioncraft, and it symbolizes the three main alchemy elements to achieve the called Great Work: Sulfur, Mercury and Salt."

   The story of Peter Pan, is a story I've loved for as long as I can remember. I remember back in kindergarten, when I was in that age where you believed you could do everything, and I was SO sure I could learn how to fly like the birds. I remember seeing 'Peter Pan, the British Musical' twice in Denmark before I turned 10, and listening to the soundtrack on my discman (yeah, that was cool back then). I remember leaving the cinema after my father took me to the screening of the movie in 2003, crying because I did not want the movie to end, and because I had to wait several months for the DVD release.    I have always loved the story, and I still do after almost 20 years. And there's no doubt my very first tattoo should be inspired by Peter Pan. The only problem is, I have a hard time making a choice.
