I just love her. so much. TEENAGE VEEEEEX

Vex'ahlia snorted into her goblet, rolling her eyes as she regained composure and wiped her mouth on her sleeve. It had been a long few days, and while it would cost some coin, she felt the group deserved some good, old fashioned 'fuck around and find out', as Scanlan called it. Though it was weird that Percival was not partaking, from the looks of his still-empty cup.
"Everyone?" Vex replied with an arched eyebrow. "Including myself? Careful, Percy. That almost sounded like an insult. And I can assure you I am incredibly sensible." Smirking, the ranger nodded to his cup. "Refill? I was going to get myself some of that wine we got as a thank you for helping that farmer in Westruun."

Vex wrinkled her nose as she brought her wine glass up and took another deep sip. She supposed Vax was right: Shaun Gilmore was usually the one doing the flustering.
"Alright fine. Then just do it anyway and know he will be utterly delighted at your affections. Either way, you should probably kiss him."
“I cannot hold back the tide of your bad decisions.” ( Mel to Vex )
"My bad decisions?" Vex replied back with a flash of indignant irritation sweeping across her face. Sure, she had been considerably reckless when looting the presumably abandoned home, but how was she supposed to have known a hag cursed many of the items? There hadn't been any traps set, or any indication not to enter. Well, perhaps the locked door . . .
"Never mind. Can you help or not?" She held out her hand, still withered and charred as if diseased. "Taking aim with an arrow is a bit tricky with only one hand. I know other magic casters if you don't want my coin."
@mythunderlegion | syngorn is the worst fairytale
Vex'ahlia let out a sad sigh and pulled her knees in close to rest her chin on top of them. She and Vax had been so excited when they found out their mother would be going to Syngorn with them. She'd envisioned laughter, exploring the elven city. Getting to know her father, all with her mother by her side. And she knew Vax had similar ideas.
But the illusion had quickly been shattered, and now all Vex wanted was to go back home. She and Vax were treated poorly as it was, but it was nothing in comparison to how their mother was treated.
"But it won't be like this forever, right?" she questioned after a pause, looking back at her mother once again.
@orchestrahearts | your secret is safe with my indifference
Vex'ahlia wanted to scream. Didn't Melisande understand the urgency? Even though she was no spellcaster, Vex knew that with any sort of resurrection, timing was of the essence. The longer they waited, the less hope there was to bring Percy back.
"Reason? What more reason do you need! A man was just murdered by the woman that aided in the massacre of his entire fucking family. I don't care what you'll charge me, just tell me if you can do it!" She would have thought revealing she loved him would have been enough, but apparently not.
@mythunderlegion | vex wants to know about dad
Growing up in the Carrel household meant many things: it meant laughter, lots of homecooked meals, and family movie nights. It meant sharing one bathroom with two other people and learning to put your stuff away to maximize space in the small apartment. It meant love, and it meant trust and honesty. There were no lies and there were no secrets between the three of them. Except where her
It wasn't a topic that often came up, but when it did, Vex'ahlia was almost exclusively the one to do so. Vax had eventually taken their mother's responses to mean it was not a topic she wished to discuss. But Vex was not so easily deterred.
She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "So that's it, then? You don't want to talk about it, so Vax and I don't get to know anything about our dad? Not a name-- a detail? Nothing?"
