yellow lives a lot of her life expecting her later years to be in solitude
its neither particularly positive or negative, its just-- her opinion? she is outgoing enough to make friends but isnt particularly outgoing enough to easily make them, unextraordinary enough that she doesnt stand out in comparison to the people she surrounds herself with, and the only thing that ultimately makes her special is something that she can only use on pokemon and not her peers
she takes pride in being a source of happiness for others but knows that she lacks the substance in a lot of situations to give people what they want? there isnt any real weight to her words. no one tries their hardest to catch her every word, nor do her thoughts turn the tide of a conversation. shes kind of just... there; only very few situations really needed her at all, and she knows that?
she feels pretty inferior, ultimately, to red and green and blue and even the kids from johto. she doesnt hold any ill intent and she doesnt feel sad about it, its more of... a thought in the back of her mind that makes her withdraw sometimes and take her thoughts to the forest instead of approaching others. the older she gets the more she lets it affect her.
shes silent about it, though. probably always will be, because she cant even really accept it herself.
☮ : Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon
Yellow keeps her house relatively clean, but nowhere near sterile. It's very cosy; Yellow decorates with plants and novelty fishing items that her uncle collects and wins, and a pot of tea is always brewing on the stove. Her own bedroom has all of her drawings strung up on her walls and pictures of her friends pinned carefully to cork-boards, as well as multiple blankets and a closet that boasts... mostly folded clothing. Often times, there are muddy boots near the front entrance and at least one set of wind-chimes singing, but the overall feeling is a very lived in one.
♒ AU WHERE GREEN AND YELLOW ARE THE MASKED CHILDREN INSTEAD OF BLUE AND SILV
i think you mean............................. MY FAVORITE AU EVER
Yellow is hand-picked from a selection of children that they'd screened specifically looking for the newest Viridian Child when she accidentally demonstrates her powers during an interrogation. Since the powers of Viridian Children are still incredibly obscure and confusing to scientists, she's immediately placed in a solitary environment where she's observed constantly and asked to consistently hone and demonstrate her skills. With her parents dead, Yellow realizes from a very young age that she has no other choice and eventually becomes resigned from her fate, leading her to become hateful towards her own powers.
After an extended period of research, they decide to allow the now socially stunted Yellow to interact with the other Masked Children-- and find that she immediately is taken under the wing of one of the eldest who goes by the name of Green. Green is strong-willed, talented, intelligent, and quite blunt for his age: Yellow is able to withdraw from her scared shell and the two of them soon become almost inseparable in nature. It makes sense, after all; Yellow is extremely kind for her age and counteracts the spiteful nature of Green, and Green is intelligent enough to keep Yellow grounded and help her more naive nature throughout their tougher parts.
Their escape, however, comes with complications: Yellow is an extremely valuable asset as a trainer due to her ability to keep her Pokemon fighting indefinitely (and raising their levels above her enemies); her escape with Green is met outrage from the Masked Man, who had just lost his two most powerful investments. After their escape, Yellow vows to never use her powers again, (as they, on some level, disgust her for what she used them to help the Masked Man achieve) and instead shadows Green as he viciously trains in preparation for a rematch against his tormentors.
Even so, their distinctive appearance means that they must constantly keep moving so that they are not caught by the Masked Man once more; even after the entire ordeal with the Masked Man is concluded, the scars of the incident are never really healed-- Yellow cannot use her powers without extreme mental and emotional strain, and the extensive use of them in her early age severely declined her health and the lack of exposure to the forest steers her from the spunky personality she could've had into a quiet, extremely subdued one, whereas Green is often unchecked with his emotions and reacts more often with both explosive anger and a terrifying, icy resolve.
☄ highschool AU (yeah it isn't the most original AU idea but, I'm not super creative SO you get this instead) ☼
highschool au;
Yellow is the president of the Gardening club and helps the gardener tend to the in-school areas where plants grow. She’s pretty well-known and liked because of it, but her more quiet demeanour makes people misconstrue her as shy— so she doesn’t have that many friends. She’s also regularly mistaken as a he— especially when she wears pants to school instead of the standard female skirt. (Too many people think Yellow has a twin brother, and the two of them are actually just pulling an elaborate prank.)
She also sleeps in most of her classes and only manages a low C average, befriends the intimidating green-eyed smart kid who tutors her, and at one point personally confronts a particularly mean spikey-haired senior.
childhood headcanon;
Yellow first discovered her artistic talent by scribbling all over the pristine white wall of her parents room with crayons. She thought they’d be mad, but they ended up keeping it to encourage her further— even though her mother hid it with curtains when guests came over. If their house hadn’t burnt down, it’d still be there today.
yellow is an mbti isfj i have decided n u cant convince me otherwise
⚖ (afterlife thing) ✞
q: does your muse believe in reincarnation? the afterlife?
|| yellow would never... ACTUALLY MENTION THIS TO ANYONE but she likes the idea of an afterlife since it means she could see her parents again (not to mention that all those times she mentally asked for her parents advice wouldnt have been delusions)
she likes the idea of big fluffy clouds and forgiveness and someone to watch over you, but at the same time she'd like to think that she could be reborn as a tree if things were to go awry, and in general she doesnt think enough about the afterlife when shes so concerned about living and living happily
a mix of both, perhaps
q: is your muse religious?
|| mmmmm.. no. yelllow was never really introduced to religion with the exclusion of the whole idea of heaven and angel babies, but shes not one to subscribe to a religious ideology as it is (although shes extremely supportive of those who do)
[[♞♧✿]]
q: does your muse have a strict honor code?
|| if its loyalty to the forest or to her friends, yes? but she doesnt particulrly abide to a Set Of Rules in terms of what happens outside of that; shes almost ambiguous when it comes to evil organizations and 'evil' people because she sees good in everyone-- its hard to have an honor code that abides to that. on the flipside, her honor code with her friends, family, and forest is simple: mess with them, you mess with her. (and she is not someone you want to mess with.)
q: does your muse believe in the idea of fate:
|| YEEES... she literally believes it was Fate that made save her from the dragonair when she was 7 and scared and it was Fate that helped blue set her on her way and it was fate that helped her along.. shes not actually so great at recognizing her own accomplishments and feats because she chalks them up to predetermined courses (although admittedly it does keep her humble)
q: does your muse have a strong connection to any of the seasons?
|| SPRING (obviously) is her favorite season because its the symbol of rebirth and renewal.. also cute baby pokemon pop up all over the forest and she gets to see trees just starting to timidly bud after winter and it fills her with a really big sense of happiness (and the flowers all bloom too so thats a plus)
