I don’t think this is the first time someone has mentioned this TGWDLM production here but I want to because it’s my favourite production aside from the og
sound quality isn’t the BEST since it’s a bit hard to hear the actors when they’re facing away but other than that it’s fine
I’d suggest just watching it but I want to rant about it so here’s some of my favourite bits (spoiler alert it’s like the whole thing)
The guy who plays Jeff’s characters absolutely KILLED it, encapsulated his energy so well
The girl who plays Mariah’s characters is a very good singer even if it’s a bit hard to hear her at times
Pete has a little propeller hat and it takes me out every time I see it
Jeff’s coffee shop guy (Barry Swift I guess?) is some sort of influencer or something, he tipped Emma and then went all the way to the other side of the stage to record her singing, he returned again during Cup Of Roasted Coffee
I love the music that plays for the news broadcasts, Clivesdales’ is hilarious
Homeless man was peak during LDDDD, he did the voice and the hand movements and everything
He also jumped over Paul at one point
And he ended the number by jumping into Paul’s arms
The person playing Corey’s LDDDD character kept shoving Paul when they were doing that clapping part
Physical comedy during What Do You Want Paul? was great, the chair with wheels and Paul getting dragged across the stage was an excellent addition
Throughout act 1 Bill would cling onto the closest person to him whenever the infected were around
Show Me Your Hands in general was amazing if you don’t watch the whole musical I highly suggest watching this bit because I can’t even explain the absolute chaos
Paul, Emma, Bill, Ted, and Charlotte were constantly trying and failing to get away the entire song
Instead of Ted saying “My ID’s in my back pocket” Bill says “I have a daughter”
At one point Bill jumps on Ted’s back and starts clawing at Doug like a cat
Paul’s actor trips on the trash cans at the end of the song, I don’t think that was intentional but it happened
Sam’s hat didn’t come off when Ted hit him with the trashcan lid so Ted just quickly takes hit hat off
Charlotte was so aggressive when she was worried about Sam’s brains, she was pointing the gun around at people until Emma started talking to her
While Paul and Emma are talking after the “kick your head” argument, Bill goes up to Ted and they talk until Join Us And Die
During this bit, Bill also fixed Ted’s tie
When Charlotte and Sam came back Bill immediately jumped onto Ted
Charlotte did the Wicked riff after Join Us And Die
During the “why does it hurt to love you” part of Not Your Seed, Alice and Bill stood face to face, it hurt
McNamara’s watch was bright red
Before Show Stoppin Number, Hidgens would get really close to Emma’s face and yell every time he said her name
He was absolutely unhinged during that monologue
Ted wasn’t even scared at first he was just annoyed
He also didn’t start actually enjoying the song in any capacity until Workin Boys
They kept most of the Workin Boys choreo the same
Jeff’s Workin Boy grabbed Emma instead of Paul, the only reason Ted got the gun was because Paul threw it at him for some reason lmao
Said gun proceeded to be taken by McNamara and given to a random PEIP member
In the Starlight Theatre, all of the infected emerged from behind the meteor to confront Paul
I mentioned this earlier but the Clivesdale News intro fucking killed me the first time I heard it
They kept the bit where Emma stays in character for the bows, they also forcefully had her bow with them as she was screaming
