Where is Damian Wayne?
One week ago marked a shocking twist of events in history. It's on every television, every news segment, every social media post, every bit of fleeting small talk. And in the aftermath of it is the question we can't seem to get enough of: Where is Damian Wayne?
Now, it isn't a difficult question to answer- one would think. And yet, it is. Because everyone is looking at the present day.
The answer to this question is complicated. And to answer it, you need to go back farther than the events that transpired last week. You need to go back to where it all began. Well, maybe not where it all began.
I certainly do not want to start with Martha and Thomas Wayne's passing. Or the very first time Batman appeared. Robin's first debut would be redundant, and even Damian's birth would be- let's be honest with ourselves here- highly pretentious of me. When I say start when it all began, I mean I want to start at the point in time when Damian first began to disappear.
It wasn't seven days ago, it wasn't even a few months ago. No, this all started three years ago. The day of a different disappearance. The Waynes'.
In order to remain as unbiased as I can, my insight will be limited. This article, instead, will be a collection of thoughts and events strung together to form a clear and cohesive narrative. A story, even. To properly communicate to you all of the facets of what has happened these past three years that the public hasn't quite been privy to. (And some things it has been privy to, shed in a different light)
As much as each of us would like to speak about Damian and his time on this earth, we have to understand how little we understand- or even know. The only person who knows more about Damian is Damian himself.
But I believe there are answers here.
Somewhere in this collection of facts and opinions is the "X" that marks the spot. I have spent the past three years knowing something like this would happen, diligently compiling everything you see here. (Check here for the proper paperwork.)
