Strawberry, with the races all coming together more have you considered the option of a different form of pregnancy? I'm not sure if you're wanting to have a kid but I hear changelings don't always need a womb to put an egg into and when it hatched it could shapeshift to have features like you and whatever partner you come to be with. It wouldn't be yours by blood but it would be closer than adoption and your love for them would make itself well known with it being their food source.
