Random trans update of the day is that people react VERY differently if they're confused about your gender and settle on boy than the other way around
#like theres a certain safety in. before if ppl were like are u a girl or a boy#and i was like *girl* in my super high voice they were usually like oh im so sorry madam#or had a rude comment but even then were just like you dress like a dude#sometimes followed by like 'girl power amirite' or ' oh im so sorry! i had short hair as a young woman as well! so#annoying when ppl get it confused right? haha'#but now ppl are like. furious at me for whatever it is made them confused#like my earrings or mannerisms and all of me is a threat. there's no oh haha my bad its all like#'you shouldn't dress/act/talk/look like that ppl will get the wrong idea'#the gremlin speaks#um#transphobia tw#?? sortof#not to say it was all okay like i definitely got comments#but i could openly be like yeah i wear guys clothes and shave my head bc comfy#and get more sympathy than looking like an unremarkable dude wearing nail polish#if anything like. i did noooot get how scary it would be to be a trans woman/transfemme#at least i could present for years relatively comfortably and be harrased but be ok#but now ppl are like. you have a deep voice and theres the smell of genderweirdness i will personally beat you up
