Maybe: Just once, Hux breaks down in front of Kylo. Now, all his life Hux has learned to show no emotion. As a very young child, little Armitage was taught crying would get him nothing. But Kylo has never seen Hux cry before, or show any emotion for that matter, so this display from Hux is very alarming to him. He rushes over to Hux, running his hands down Hux's arms, cups his chin in his hands, wipes the tears away, says "anything you need, I'll get it for you" Hux lets himself be comforted, and also he accidentally learns that crying evokes obedience in Ren. Whether on purpose or not, Hux starts to cry in front of Ren almost frequently. A negotiation doesn't work out in Hux's favor; he sniffles, and Ren uses the force to manipulate them a new negotiation. Alliance falls through? Hux's eyebrows knit together, his lips trembles and Ren is at his side, appealing to him, "tell me what's wrong, I'll fix it for you." Hux is out of caf and can't make a supply run for another 11 cycles? A stifled sob and "darling...what do you need?" Hux loves getting what he wants, Hux loves the comfort that comes with it, and Kylo loves the feeling of setting something right, if he can fix it for Hux, maybe if he can make Hux happy again, he can learn how to be happy himself
