No, no! I have three things in my likes that Tumblr won’t let me unlike and, aside from that, my likes count reads as 1419.
This is a Tumblr error where if a post or blog are deleted, they won’t show on your like page but they will still register the post ID in your likes. I haven’t been able to figure out a workaround for it and it gives me strong and weird dissociation feels. (I don’t know what the error is with not letting me unlike something; can’t do it from the likes page, the blog I liked it from, or the op. Can’t do it on desktop or app.)

n: a song by a band I want to see live
I have a deep dark secret and that’s that I HATE live shows. I attribute this to the fact that at my first concert, the performer was belligerently drunk. I was seven. All I remember is crying, darkness, and flashing lights. It is truly the most impossible-to-repress memory I have.
So my band is someone I’ve been quietly in love with for like...ever. And that’s Thao & The Get Down Stay Down. I love Thao Nguyen. I’ve been into her since Like the Linen and it’s never stopping. I listened to Tallymarks on repeat for so long that people stopped being my friend.
And I recommend that song, but I really want to recommend Holy Roller because it’s plucky in that specifically Thao way and I love it to the tips of my toes, basically. The album it is off from We The Common, which is my second fave Thao album of all time, so check it out if you haven’t before.
w: a song with an amazing music video
So a little known fact about me: about half of what I listen to that is not Taylor Swift is also not in English. I have as much music by Taraful Haiducilor as I do by literally anyone else. I listen to a shocking amount of French folk music and German pop. I also love folk music. Like hardcore pagan folk music, usually Celtic but sometimes otherwise.
Recently, knowing neither of these things but knowing that I speak some German, my friend KAIT sent me a link to Walpurgisnacht by Faun and I am IN LOVE. The song itself sounds like if Nickel Creek was a German folk band so I’m super down with that but the music video is the weirdest non-surrealist German mv I’ve ever seen and totally makes me feel all Walpurgisnacht-y.
It’s very much what you would expect of German folk music (read: 100% white) but it’s the first music video I’ve started at in utter amazement since Lemonade dropped.

(otoh, i used to feel weird about how many crossovers i would put in one series, but i recently found a popular author on ao3 who does more than i do, so i’m inspired finish that ennealogy that has way too many fandoms)
