seriously though. I really value my friendships with people who see through dumb things as being dumb, who have a really solid grasp on and clear hold of the truth.

I think I’m a “smart” person but I have no- I don’t want to say disdain for because I hope I do have disdain for dumb things- but recognition (always) of the dumbness of dumb things.

I am dumb! And easily beguiled by dumb things and a flash of genuine human emotion or pain is enough for me to fling my heart at something incredibly dumb. I fall for the tricks and the cleverness so I need friends to help keep me on the straight and narrow.

Yesterday my friend said the thinks Portuguese is a very sexy language, and to her it seems like a lot of 'g' and 'd' sounds, lot of soft, slow and deep sounds, but also very quickly
