This talented Artist is a Master in Angst. A given for most, if not all of her vids. This one is an Angst Masterpiece. The song is heartbreaking to begin with, but what really mades the vid, is Artist’s insistance in making us think, by pairing lyrics with images. So many instances of heartbreak are included: John walking into 221B alone, after the Fall, Sherlock alone in the flat, with no John, the Fall, the wedding, Magnussen, the grave.
The coup de grace, though is the chorus: “The day bleeds, into nightfall, and you are not here to get me through it all. I let my guard down, and you pulled the rug, I was getting kind of used to be somebody you loved” Artist, @johnlocklover221 pairs this with Sherlock’s desperate search for John in the Mind Palace, when he needed him so badly, yet had to come back to life to find him. The scenes of him in hospital to these words are tear jerking. She cleverly uses the ending of S3, the fatidic farewell, and the departure of the aeroplane, to seal the emotions in, and guarantee the tears coming down hard on our cheeks. As long as Talented Artist continues to be inspired by her Angst Muse, our boys will not be forgotten, and we will continue to suffer with them and be inspired to perhaps find ways to help them along and find happiness! 🖤
