“Food?” Steve offered again a moment later when Bucky had blinked a few times and seemed more cognizant. “C’mon. Sit up.”
Bucky looked at the tray and seemed to get the message, but as he moved to comply, Alpine also reappeared and decided to join them on the bed. Steve was handing over the tray the exact moment the cat sprang up directly onto Bucky’s body.
And tray and cat collided.
