i like to think the Mario 64 DS Caps are similar to the super crown if not a variation of the same thing. As to why they transforms u into another that i am unable to say for. As for the super crown specifically though my theory is that who ever finds it is the only one who can use it but it also gives a temporaily form of someone they wish to be like or the form the wish to have so in theory Toadette wants to be like Peach
