"I need to assert my dominance as a man!"
"Your dominance?" Jiaheng almost snickers, hand pressed over his mouth until he can will the little grin dancing on his lips away. "Go ahead. Try."

"I need to assert my dominance as a man!"
"Your dominance?" Jiaheng almost snickers, hand pressed over his mouth until he can will the little grin dancing on his lips away. "Go ahead. Try."
"Do you like magic?"
"I do." Jiaheng hums, head tilting with curiosity in his eyes. "Are you a magician? Do I have to pay?"
“Just don’t forget me, okay?”
"I don't think I could forget you with how strangely we met." He laughs, ruffling the other's hair fondly. "Never."

what happened? did u spill ur lunch everywhere again?
"I'M OKAY, YOU'RE OKAY, WE'RE OKAY."
"WE'RE OKAY," Jiaheng copies with a determined nod of his head, eyes fixated on the television. A controller in his hands and grasped so hard his knuckles have turned white, he was in the zone, when suddenly--
"Man! Red shell, no fair!"
"You'll be alright, no one can hurt you now."
A soft smile pulls at Jiaheng's lips despite the chilly wind biting at his ears and nose. "Thanks." Somehow, he had spilled everything -- his wishes and his parents and his worries -- to a mere stranger with soft features. Oh well, he supposes after a moment -- weirder things had happened recently, and it was nice to get it all off of his chest. "But, now it's your turn to talk. I've gone on for long enough."
"I love this song! Want to dance?"
"Oh, well, uh..." Jiaheng stutters, hands wringing. He doesn't recognise the song, nor the person asking, but... "I'm not really... much of a dancer, actually..."
"I believe in you."
"... Thanks." Jiaheng swallows, lips pursed and brow furrowed. He's never quite managed to make this shot, but perhaps with some reassurance... His eyes flit over to Daehyun, a nervous smile tugging at his lips, before back at the hoop, bouncing on his feet a few times. "Okay... okay... okay..." he murmurs to himself, squeezing his eyes closed before he shoots... ... and he scores.
