She didn’t want to admit it, she was a big girl now after all, but she was scared of this...
This creature.
She hasn’t seen anything like it in Nohr, and most definitely not in Hoshido. Half-dead, lying on the ground so sadly, it broke Sakura’s heart to watch something like this. She bit back her bottom lip, clenching onto her staff tighter to hide her fear.
“N-no, of course not.” To finish someone off? That wasn’t Sakura, and that was not what she would ever do to someone dying on the floors. She knelt down next to the body, checking for a pulse in his neck, feeling the soft thumps of a dying heart, before swallowing the fear in her throat.
It was her duty as a priestess to help the weak and injured, and it was her duty as the youngest princess of Hoshido to make sure no one would die in her sight. The blood he coughed out landed near her feet, and she knew her insincts told her to recoil back ( it could be infected with poison ) but she couldn’t bring herself to do something so... Insensitive.
She couldn’t kill him, even if he was alive and holding that sword to her neck. She watched him creep deeper into the cave, and while she hated to think that she would have to go deeper into the darkness, she followed anyway as she hopped to the man, Moon Festal still held so tight that her knuckles turned white.
“I-I know you p-probably don’t trust me, b-but at least let me h-heal your wounds first. Y-you’ll die out here i-if you continue lying there...”
