Important reminder! 🌻
It doesn't make you any less of a pagan to not celebrate the sabbats, slash any other pagan holidays. Sometimes you just don't have the time, don't have the energy or just can't out of any other reasons. Especially during this european heatwave currently, if you weren't able to celebrate Litha to it's fullest, no one will judge you for it!
I, too, had a hard time coping with it. When work calls, 8 hours a day without an AC, too busy to prepare, you just feel completely powered out. Even for a three-day festival, it can be hard to find the motivation. However, what matters the most are always your intentions.
Low effort celebrations can be done. Just soak up the sunlight, appreciate the day, eat sabbat related food, think of accomplishments, think of what we honor or just wear sabbat related colors. There are many ways to celebrate, without actually bodily participating.
Life happens, work happens or sometimes there is just no strength for anything and that's fine. You're still a pagan, you still have your beliefs and you aren't a bad example of one. 🌞
With that, belated late Litha. Maybe you celebrated all in or maybe you just let it pass quietly, both are absolutely fine! 🌄
So we have:
We Don't Have to Be Confined In the Situation We Were Born Forever Day (Yuri's Night, April 12, and Moon Landing, July 20)
Think About It for Five Minutes Before Killing Everyone Day (Stanislav Petrov Day, September 26)
Don't Kill Everyone Even if Your Friends Want You To and You're Making It Really Awkward Day (Vasily Arkhipov Day, October 27)
We Don't Actually Need to Murder Each Other When You Think About It Day (Christmas Truce, December 24-26)
And When We Already Are We Can Still Stop Day (Armistice Day, November 11)
Just Because Something That Sucks Has Been Around Forever Doesn't It Mean It Always Will Day (Smallpox Eradication Day(s), December 9 and May 8)
What else?
