The reflection of the church’s grand stained glass window fell with rainbow colors against Angela’s skin. Accenting her beautiful, pure white wedding dress. She embraced the sun’s warmth, closing her eyes as the colors fell across her rose-tinted cheeks. A happiness was in her chest, radiating love and adoration for her husband to-be.
For a single moment, she placed the bouquet of flowers against her nose to take in the floral smells. Except, they did not smell right. No … it was metallic. Wait, that wasn’t right either. It was S U L F U R I C. Angela looked at her hands to see they were covered in gray soot with no apparent source.
And yet, she shrugged it off. Not seeming to mind that her followers were turning to dust within her own hands. She was more interested in her betrothed, anyway.
Happily, she looked at her love. Her true dearest. The man was dressed nicely. A fine pressed black suit and tie, shoes that sparkled just as brightly as the stained glass overhead. He even had a fancy top-hat to match his look, resting awkwardly against his oddly shaped metallic head.
Wait … this wasn’t her husband. No, it was Junkrat’s steel trap on the head of a man’s body, slightly closed in a way as if it were the actual head.
Angela gawked at the trap, only for it to grin at her the closer she peered into it’s teeth. Startled, the doctor looked to the audience and noticed that only one had shown up. It was Junkrat himself, in a fit of proud, joyous tears for his dear trap. The poor bride to-be frowned as she then looked to the priest.
Unsurprisingly, she was met with Roadhog. Dressed as he usually was except with a tie around his neck to signify his connection to the church. “Kiss.” Was all he said while pointing to the personified bear trap. Angela felt her knees shake.
“Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!” This was junkrat from behind. Then it followed by a thousand voices, calling out to her and her betrothed. A chorus of people begging her to kiss the steel trap. The cry of people got louder and louder until Angela woke up, heart racing.
A curse left her lips as she frowned, eyes glaring into the shadows of her bedroom. Frustrated, the doctor rolled over and went back to sleep in hopes of having a more normal dream.
