     Scout watched as Nate run into the house calling for Bella. He smiled as the toddler hugged his dog. His eyes then moved to the man standing in front of him. “How you doin’ B?” He asked his tone more harsh than usual. 

     “I’ve been meaning to talk to you about something. About the night that you got in that accident.” His nails dug into his palms. “It’s funny cause that was actually the night that Nate was conceived, you see Kat and I were laying in my bed when she got the text from Dylan.” He looked into his half brother’s eyes. “I drove her to the hospital. I watched her cry over you. I held her. Knowing that this was that was the moment that I’d lost her to you.” 

       Scout took a deep breath. “What do you think Kat would do if she found out the truth about that night? Look I know from personal experience that loosing Kat can fuck you up big time, but Jesus Christ what the fuck were you on that made you think what you did was ok??? Also I want you to know the only thing keeping me from beating the shit out of you right now, is my son.”

    Scout bit his lip. “You know if you weren’t insanely annoying. You could actually be hot.” He looked down at Queenie. “Like you face, a ten.” He smirked. “Then you open your mouth and you got down to like a four.”

   Scout tipped back the bottle of Grey Goose. He looked over at the person who was clearly judging him. “What?” He snapped. “I just found out that the guy who stole my girlfriend/baby mama in college, then married her later, becoming my son’s step father, is my half brother.” Scout tipped the bottle back and took another drink.  

      “I just need to get really fucked up. I might need something stronger....” He mumbled looking down at the bottle. “Fuck...I’m living a soap opera.”

   Scout walked behind is toddler. The small child wasn’t even two yet. The two were spending the day together. The band was on a break from everything for a while and Scout always spent that time is Nathaniel. 

   He watched as the child wobbled on. He was fast and had spotted a dog and took off. “Nate! No No!” He called running after him. He caught him just in time. “I’m so sorry.” He said to the owner of the dog. 

    “He loves puppies.” He said shaking his head.

    The guitarist was usually into parties. He liked to drink and have a good time but he hardly knew anyone here. The band had been invited and of course they had to go. He stood at the food table snacking away. “God, all this stuff is so boujie...” He said to no one in particular. “Like honestly, where are the chips and dips.” He shook his head.

    “My name? Yeah Scout is my real name.” The guitarist nodded. “My mother read To Kill A Mocking Bird while she was pregnant with me. She liked the named, I don’t know. It was that or Atticus I think they went with the better choice.” He shrugged. “Scout is cool. It’s badass, I think.” Scout smirked. 

    “This is also probably really bad, but I’ve never actually read the book, like in school when we were assigned to. I didn’t.” He’ll laugh. “I don’t really like reading, but hey, I watched the movie. Well I fell asleep but I tried. I’m a terrible person.”
