Grief was a strange thing. He had always thought that it came in like a wave. Whenever he had read about it or saw it through a screen it had seemed elegant in its destruction. He knew, of course, that it was debilitating. But he hadn’t expected it to be quite like this. The hollowness that accompanied it. As though his heart and soul had been torn from his being, body still calling out for them but finding nothing in their place. It allowed the pain to echo and rebound within him. Compounding on itself. 

And he still couldn’t quite comprehend the guilt that caused his mind to turn in on itself as well. The ‘why’ that would never be answered. Nice had taken his own life. Why? He would have been there for him. How much pain had he been in? To the point where he never reached out, never asked for help, hadn’t thought to lean on his shoulder? If he could even do that anymore.  They could have run away together. Left Nice and Wreck behind.

Left it all behind.

But now he is gone.

And someone else had taken his face. Had taken his voice. His eyes. All of it. Keeping him alive when all he had wanted to do was rest.

The fight, the one he had looked forward to, a moment to reunite with his other half, was meaningless. The anger that had burned within him managing to go out all too soon, the grief that had come drowning any last embers.

And when he fell he let himself.

It felt like freedom. Like he was chasing after Nice one last time.

Perhaps he was waiting for him, wherever he had ended up.

And wherever they were at the end of this, they’d be together. As they should have always been.

going to college for biology as a pre-vet, wants to work as a veterenarian and one day open his own clinic.

doesn't really have much contact with his family, hasn't seen them in a few years. made it to college on his own working at the local bookstore for money throughout his entire highschool career.

tends to keep more to himself and focus on his studies, but can (and often is) dragged to parties by his roommate, yuji.

he won't be the life of the party but he won't just stick to a corner either, he'll join in and have a couple of drinks before calling it a night and going back to the dorms.

very high alcohol tolerance, takes quite a bit to get him drunk, and even when he does get drunk, it's very rare to get hungover.

will often tutor for some extra cash when he needs it, generally he'll be found at the campus library working to pay for housing and general bills.

going to college to study Physical Therapy, wants to find job helping young injured athletes (mainly for schools but also in a private manner)

has no known family, his grandfather raised him but passed away while he was still in highschool. survived with the help of his inheritance and working odds jobs around town.

hates studying (does so anyway) and always rewards himself after every 30 minutes of studying as a way to keep him going back for more. said rewards revolve around an episode of his favorite show or an energy drink/snack

is the life of the party. he's either the first one at the party and last one to leave, or he's the one throwing the party.

gets wasted very easily and will show up with a massive hangover the next day to class. never skips, though!

works part time at the local grocery store for some extra cash for his daily needs

studying computer science, wants to be a video-game creator in the long run (or work for a video game company)

works for the university IT department where he helps setting up accounts, does basic security checks, fixes issues, etc.

completely mute from birth. uses sign language or the notes app on his phone.

weirdly smart; doesn't really need to study much to ace most of his tests and classes, so when he's out partying, he goes all out. will get completely wasted and then wake up randomly on the football court without his shirt on. has 0 hangover the next day.

rents an apartment off campus with junpei, happened after they shared a dorm during their first year of college

spends way too much time playing video games and on his phone: he calls his research for his future (it's mostly just him wanting to enjoy his free time)

studying film production, with the intention of becoming a cinematographer when he graduates.

this boy had his mother murdered in their home, was the one to find the body, due to legal rights his father has to support him but wants literally nothing to do with him, gives him money every month to support himself as long as he never reaches out to him (he has a new family and likes to pretend like junpei doesn’t exist). so besides finding his mother's body, the bullying he suffered that left actual physical scars on his body and face, and the fact that his father wants nothing to do with him... he has some issues.

has a lot of trouble trusting people, it takes a very long time until he feels safe enough to consider someone a friend, so mostly he'll avoid interacting with people outside of classes and his part-time job

works as a waiter 3 times a week at the local fancy restaurant

avid horror fan and will rewatch some of his favorites whenever he needs a pick-me-up.

sucks at anything that requires math, crushes it at anything relating to english or literature.

Someone going to Dama for like normal witch things, like potions/charms and shit like that. It makes he so happy

Cell buddies, best with Dama or Akora but like any of my muses have def been arrested at least once

. wriothesley + body hcs

one. his eyes are incredibly sensitive to bright or flashing lights. he spends limited time under direct sunlight or in brightly lit places because he gets frequent and quite debilitating migraines if he doesn't pace himself. this is both a result of extended periods of time spent within the fortress and also the frequent head traumas he suffered when he was younger.

two. wriothesley has a very limited appetite, having spent a great deal of his life either running on minimal rations or working for what little food he could earn once within the fortress walls, he's adapted to only need the bare minimum to function normally. it's not exactly healthy or ideal but he'd rather someone else got the meal if he doesn't particularly need it. he spent a lot of time as a child being malnourished and has never quite gotten rid of the association between a full meal and feeling ill after extended periods of time without decent food.

three. he doesn't enjoy pain. he has a surprisingly low pain tolerance but he's an incredibly good actor when it comes down to avoiding letting on that he's in pain. he still deals with a variety of types of phantom pain in most of the scars on his body, meaning that on bad days he's a lot more elusive from the public eye - tending to hide away in his office and manage things with a much less hands-on approach as much as physically possible without upsetting his reputation within the fortress.

four. yes his ears and tail are incredibly sensitive. no you shouldn't touch them without warning or you will be punted. you have been warned.

five. despite what he lets on, the scars on wriothesley's neck are an incredibly uncomfortable subject for him. unless he trusts you with his life, any contact with his neck is strictly off limits - even to the point that being caught by the throat in a fight is an effective way to throw him off and cause him to slip up, forcing an opening. whilst he's gotten very good at stopping this from happening, there have been the odd occasion in the past.

six. a lot of the scars on his arms and chest are from misfires while he was developing the prototypes for his gloves. more than one version of his weapons have blown up in his face.

seven. a kinda nsft bonus the most sensitive (and safest) parts of his body to kiss are his wrists and stomach/hips. have fun with that :)
