okay but it just occurred to me how powerless jack must feel dealing with robby right now. because he's a fucking doctor and he's used to saving people. he goes out of his way to make sure people are okay under his care, he goes out of his way to save how many people he can. working when he's not supposed to (the pittfest shooting), listening around the police scanner, jumping in with the swat when he's off the clock. and now his friend, i would argue his best and closest friend is actively planning to harm himself and he can't do anything about it. because robby won't let him — jack already stopped him once on the roof, he won't let that happen again, and that is why he refuses to look at jack in that scene in s2e9. because robby doesn't wanna be stopped. and jack knows and it's driving him crazy.
