Aida

Despite being a rather independent child, Saias became a lot more clingier around his mother, always wanting to be close to her. He had a habit of grabbing onto her hand or wrist-- whatever he could reach at the time-- or hiding behind her when something made him feel uncomfortable, as Saias found her presence to be extremely comforting. If they were to meet in a heroes verse, this would manifest more as him wanting to be around her a lot, or a really soft sort of demeanour, rather than everything else he would have done as a young child. In both cases, he becomes a lot more vulnerable-- more than he would be around anyone else, except for Azelle, maybe.

Ishtar

Being aware of Julius’ tendencies when it comes to Ishtar and the people around her, Saias will keep a fair amount of distance from the girl in any given situation, doing everything he can to not get too close. Of course, Saias feels incredibly sorry for Ishtar and knows it is unlikely that his brother will kick up a fuss-- Julius seems to still trust him to some degree--, but he unpredictable, and the archbishop would rather not take that chance. So, he is very adamant about keeping his distance from her at all times, even if they are talking. It is just far too risky.

He will not question why she has decided to spend her day in shoes that would so easily bring about pain and discomfort after a few hours of walking, even though it clings to the front of his mind. Long strides shorten, without any further prompting, however the archbishop’s gaze does not dare to move itself over to Ishtar– not unless she intends to turn her little remark into a proper conversation. After all, she is of a status higher than his own, and Saias would rather not be summoned to speak to Julius– once he is feeling better, of course– and be lectured on how he should not talk to the girl unless it is absolutely necessary.

“Perhaps you ought to sit down once we arrive. Lord Julius would not take kindly to you being injured.”

For more than a handful of minutes, she has remained silent, and for each moment that passes on by, Seliph cannot help but to feel his concern growing-- to worry over whether or not the girl happens to be so quiet and unresponsive because of him, or something far more troublesome. Of course, he has never known her to be the talkative type, or one to carry on conversations unless it is absolutely necessary, however the young emperor cannot help but to find some sort of way to lift Ishtar’s spirits. So, even though he highly doubts that the other is fond of rather foolish remarks and knows that this will most certainly end in him feeling nothing more than embarrassed, the boy continues to speak, forcing a smile onto his features and allowing for a small, nervous laugh to escape from pale lips.

“N-Nevermind, it’s... it’s tearable.”
