What followed was perhaps a scream a touch too high for someone of his status and position. He's hoisted at least a few feet into the air, apron and all, his cooking knife clattering right back onto the counter uselessly. Oh, god.

It was really only matter of time, wasn't it?

"Hh--" As he flails quite pathetically in Volt's grip, his mind's eye flips through a certain cowboy's memories--even through deep down, he knew that he was mostly on his own for this one.

"Um!" This is going to suck. "Hello! I didn't! Hear you come in!"

That was a lie and they BOTH knew it, or rather Zora was sure that she'd be back before anything had a chance to approach their little campsite. It's only been a few minutes and Naven was already starting to worry, kaleidescope hues darting this way and that at every moving shadow beyond the dim light of their fire.

He knew she MEANT well, which is why he couldn't really stay mad...

"Cold..." But Taiga was known for its' absolutely bitter winters, surely after a few hours of 'toughing' it out here, he could convince her to pack it in early...the most he could do now was quietly hum to himself for some comfort.

It's not often Naven chooses to go out, if at ALL, and when he does it's never by himself. Crowds never did quite mingle well with his Epithet either, so outings like these really were quite rare as a lot of bars usually close out this late at night. Fortunately for him, Zora never did quite care for the law when it came to him.

Honestly, this was nice. A drink with a friend and some nice atmosphere to go along with it. He watches as Zora's fingers pluck the strings of her guitar delicately and masterfully, weaving a familiar song that he soon finds himself humming alongside with, swishing his drink with the beat.

Surely nothing would disturb their little moment of peace, right?

Should You Fight Naven?

Pros:

- If you know what you're doing--and you probably will--you can snap him in half like one of those cereal straws already dunked in milk. Like, it wouldn't even be that hard even if you WEREN'T fighting him.

- Who wouldn't want to punch a rich CEO in the face?

- Absolutely wouldn't go for the kill unless in VERY, VERY specific circumstances, and even then that probably won't happen.

- Depends, but would still try to be your friend! He'd try to talk things down with you first and foremost.

- Honestly would apologize for whatever made you want to fight him in the first place.

Cons:

- Is the leader of a shadow organization that has their eyes and ears E V E R Y W H E R E. It's bad enough if you tried to mug him, for example, but if you tried to mug him and you have superpowers? Say goodbye to whatever privacy you had.

- Remember when I said that you could snap him like a twig? Yeah, that is if you can get to him in the first place. This twink sure did set up his stupid tower to be a 18 hour boss rush of some of the most powerful Inscribed on the planet! Good fucking luck!

- And even if you DO somehow get past all that, his Epithet is Flashback. Not only does he know what you're thinking the moment you get into his line of sight, he also knows every OTHER thought and experience you've ever had up until that point. All the good, all the bad, and everything in between.

- And he'll use that to his advantage. He'll carefully craft his entire way of fighting and the memories he'll put you though around YOUR strengths and weaknesses. Same if you brought back-up, so have fun reliving your trauma and that of your closest companions!

- By the way, he can manipulate memories! Not that he'd do so for you, but unfortunately this bitch never went to therapy himself, so eventually the stress and exhaustion is going to catch up to him and his own memories will start leaking out. Now you get to relive HIS traumatic experiences with some of the worst Inscribed he's ever fought! Including the worst one that ruined his life! Another boss rush! Woo!

- This bitch uses illusions and the memories of every person he's ever met. Including their Epithets! Twinkerbelle here can just do whatever the fuck he wants!

Should you fight him?

- He wants you to, strangely enough. He WANTS someone to stop him though whatever means necessary--because, well, he sure is going to erase the laws of magic in his world, and who knows what the FUCK is going to happen if that comes to pass, so yeah! Fighting him is unfortunately necessary...as he isn't going to hold back either.

Conclusion:

- Fight him if you wanna save the world or whatever. Or don't! Bliss Ocean always has room for one more in their weird little evil found family thing they got going on...
