Constance became a scribe because she couldn't become a genie.
Princess Henrietta being crowned queen, featuring newly appointed Queen's Scribe Lady Constance Thorn (left) and senior scribe Berenice Boole (right).
Queens traditionally wear a kirtle in their house's colour, and their gowns are always purple. There is a jewel on the crown for each Great House (I haven't yet decided how many of those there are).
Here are the new OCs again - now you can see their whole outfits! This picture is saved on my computer as 'The Reluctant Princess', because the poses are loosely inspired by the painting 'The Reluctant Bride'.
I gave the scribes red sashes to match the red ribbons they use to tie their scrolls. They're also wearing pins that show two crossed quills, which is the symbol of the Scribes' Guild. Constance's is gold and Berenice's is silver because they're the first and second scribe respectively.
Princess Henrietta's outfit is more tudor-inspired, while Constance and Berenice look more medieval. Originally this was accidental, but it makes sense thematically, because the Scribes' Guild are meant to be old-fashioned and stuck in their ways, while Henrietta is more forward-thinking. When she is thinking.

Guess who made new OCs? Hint: it was me.
I've had this picture in drafts for a while, but held off until I'd settled on the characters' names. From top to bottom: Henrietta, Constance, Berenice.
Henrietta is a princess*, which is probably why she took the longest to name (the others just call her 'your highness'). Constance and Berenice are her scribes. They're from a pseudo-historical setting with roughly medieval/early renaissance levels of technology.
*A word which here means the senior female member of one of the Great Houses: ruling families of the smaller states which make up one country ruled by two elected monarchs... (I am pulled off the stage with a crook). I would say I'll explain it later, but the truth is I'm going to let Constance explain it, which means no one will understand in or out of universe.
