Somnio’s tag dump
@corpusdivina
His feet carried him as his mind wandered, dejection written on his face as plain as day. Another town he’s scoured through and yet no results. He was certain that he’d found every hidden away book and bookstore that he could, but nothing shed any more light on what he needed to know. ...He’d been in this town for a while now too, it was probably time to move on somewhere else before a disaster or something hit these poor people because of him. He was so buried into his own thoughts that a sudden flash of red hair caused the kernel of cold inside him to jump and a startled hand flew to press against his chest. What was that? Had that--had that thing ever reacted like that before? What had caused it? William whirled around, eyes searching for the flash of red he saw earlier. Before he knew what he was doing, he had started after her, voice calling out, “U-um, excuse me!” Just then, he’d reached the woman, his hand instinctively reaching out to grab her wrist. “Sorry to bother you, but I--” Will rushed to get his words out, but was given no time to finish his sentence when another hand clamped down on top of his. Looking over, his eyes glanced up to meet a stern and vibrant gaze. The look in the man’s eyes chilled him but the other’s face somehow remained expressionless all the while.
“I suggest you release her right now, boy.” The hand gripping the strange male’s wrist gave a painful squeeze and he watched with satisfaction as the other hastily pulled his hand away from Lyrica. Now he was in a bad mood. His fingers itched to curl around the woman’s waist, brush against her arm, anything to show that she belonged to him but he held back. No doubt Lyrica would understand immediately and love it if he did something like that, which was why he wouldn’t. But as it was, he couldn’t keep the chill from his gaze as his eyes shifted to the woman next to him, waiting to see what she would decide to do with that boy. It was her that the other boy had grabbed after all.

This city was said to be a den of sin and vice, a place for humans to gather together in hopes of pursuing whatever sinful desires their little hearts wanted. Yet, as Somnio walked the streets, he found nothing of interest in particular. Yes, whenever he bothered to travel into others’ dreams they happened to be more depraved than usual, but humans were so easy to please. Their dreams consisted of nothing but sex, money, and power, and, just like that, they were content. It was pitiful and it was boring.
Even now during their waking hours, Somnio could see that they thought of nothing more than whatever wins or pleasures they could get their hands on next. How rapidly his interest in humanity was draining. However, a glimpse of red hair then flashed in his vision, a feeling of something not quite human drifting across his senses. Somnio paused and turned, locking eyes with a woman. He hadn’t run across any non-humans since he’d taken over this body, and there was something about her that almost...frightened him. A look in her eyes that caused the hair at the back of his neck to stand. When was the last time he’d felt anything even remotely close to fear...? “You...” the demon’s eyes narrowed, voice low among the din of the crowd around them. “Who are you?”

Water dripped from his hair and Somnio could feel a frown grace his face as he glanced up. He knew he had forgotten to do something that morning... A downpour surrounded him and the awning above was the only thing keeping him even remotely dry. The sky had been, for the most part, completely clear without a cloud in sight. But despite all pretenses, it seemed that the weather had something else in mind and he barely had any time to find cover before he was completely soaked. Unfortunately, the store that the awning was in front of was closed, leaving the man very few options other than waiting it out. At least it seems that he wasn’t the only one caught off guard by the surprise shower. Glancing to the side where a woman with vivid red hair also had taken shelter, Somnio asked, “I don’t suppose you would happen to have two umbrellas on you?”

“Amazing...” His head tipped back to take in the entirety of the waterfall, the rushing sound of water hitting his ears. Somnio was grateful he managed to find this spot, with the peaceful quiet of the woods keeping this gem hidden it looked to be a spot that was fairly undisturbed. He sat down on the grass and carefully leaned against a nearby tree, his eyes never leaving the waterfall and a nostalgic smile grew on his lips. It reminded him of that one time...
There was the slightest sound of rustling, barely perceptible with the roaring of water nearly drowning it out, but Somnio still heard it. His head turned towards the source of the noise, not really saying anything and almost hoping that whoever it was wouldn’t notice him and wouldn’t stay long.
@astralfallacy liked for a starter!
The white-haired male huffed as he walked, feeling a small twinge of irritation prick him. Not only had the airport somehow mixed up his flights, meaning that he would have to wait until tomorrow to board his plane, but this also meant he had to find a hotel room to stay for the night after he had already checked out of the room he had previously been staying in. Somnio walked through the streets, paying little heed to the people surrounding him, the male ran straight into someone, causing him to crash to the ground. Whoops.
