[ ۩۞۩ ] -- Fear was not something they had ever wished or dreamed to know of again. The very thought of it haunted the otherwise empty dreams they had, and from time to time, managed to slip into the few waking moments they had in which their degenerated body acted as a conduit while the real ( or maybe, in the right context, false ) mirror image slept within, just beneath their skin and bones.
And yet, despite all their avoidance of it, now they were reduced to nothing but sheer cowardice towards the enormous amount of.... power? No, that certainly was there, but that was not the right way to describe the overwhelming sense of a concept they couldn’t quite grasp. That knowledge was what paralyzed them and kept their feet rooted to the ground. Despite the storm of anxiety and the still foreign feeling of what they meant to contain mixing in and swirling around in their gut, they couldn’t seem to move. Jumbled thoughts ran into each other and became a continuous string of one thing only;
