Kikyou and LW out here with their backs aching from all their responsibilities and duties in a system that favors men. What is rest. What is sleep.

Both of them have their own methods of establishing themselves...different moral alignment but doesn’t change the fact they do things themselves. Hardly rely on anyone but themselves.

Or it was useless information and thus was filtered out.

No. Kikyou was accustomed to filtering out commentaries that were deemed unhelpful or useful. In this case, the rating of her body and her clothing were not pertinent information to pay heed to. “It is not. I can easily respond and move hastily when needed. I slay demons, hinder bandits and many other duties. Do you truly believe I would wear clothing that was both impractical and useless ?” As for everything else, she dismissed it quite easily.

Did someone actually leave Pei Ming with a child ? Interesting and questionable sense of judgement. He was many things..but a babysitter...Kikyou was conflicted on who to be more concerned for : PM or the child himself. Both were valid worries. “Hm..I can only pray this will not end badly for either party...” Particularly the baby.

TGCF Verse Headcanons

Kikyou undoubtedly could ascend based on cultivation, drive, strength and good deeds. Would she though ? No. She does not think she’s fit for the Heavens first of all. Secondly, there’s a chance she’d see her family again..if she isn’t sent to Hell first. Thirdly, she has no interest and it is the opposite of what she wants. Plus the idea of having temples and devotees, clashes with her humility.

Most of her life--as a priestess--abstinence was unfortunately the pathway set out for her. This would have changed if..her lover to be..wasn’t killed. Still, it is not something she’d choose. Whether she’d lose her powers or not..it won’t have mattered. Alas, things didn’t work in her favour. For the most part, I’d say..she has a high level of abstinence cultivation. Weeps. 

What could and probably would affect her ascension , if she so chose..was her damnable luck. She has a lot going against her so..another reason she’d opt out of that.

It’d make sense that her ancestor and herself are favoured by the Gods they pray too..hence the incredible well of power, above average endurance and stamina etc.

On the other hand..she’d be a benevolent, ethereal, compassionate, powerful and stubborn deity. ;v; Her low tolerance for arrogant and condescending  deities..would both motivate and infuriate her. If she rises through the ranks, it’d be through sheer spite and desire to step on the egos who told her she cannot--or she’s too weak. [Bitch plz- obstinate and pride were her middle names], Ngl, it’d be fun to see her prove everyone wrong.

But again, she has no desire for those roles or responsibilities. Once she passes, she’d like to rest if possible and hope that in her next life, she’d be an ordinary person..living a happy life.
