Sometimes it takes us awhile to find our place in life, but it’s worth it in the end.
Is Nero able to feel any regret, or any kind of remorse?
-╳- OOC: Given the right circumstance - I’d say he would. But it would be a sincere rarity.
I've seen on Youtube comment that Nero may be a sociopath. Do you think he is?
-╳- OOC: I think he has a few sociopathic traits, yes, but having glanced at the general criteria for a diagnosis - I don’t think he would be, overall. I think, for the most part, the way he is results from the way he was bought up - in isolation. He doesn’t understand emotion because for the most part, he wasn’t shown any; ect- It’s not a defect in his brain, it’s just something he hasn’t learned.
Your point about Nero made me think about something (and it was brillant): how do you think Nero would have been as a person without Weiss around? Or else if Weiss had been the classical villain who didnt care about anyone to the point Nero wouldn't have cared about him and wouldnt have this love for him? Would have been a threat ? Still a villain ?
-╳- OOC: OOOOHHH. Now I’ve been contemplating this for a while - while I manually re-edit countless screenshots of Dirge so I can remake Nero’s icons... And honestly; I don’t really know.Personally, I think Nero relies on direction in order to get things done - or more, he needs something to aim toward. Don’t get me wrong, I think he’s a highly intelligent being that is more than able to tread whatever path he deems fit but I do think he required a direction, a purpose, something of the sort to aim toward to do it.In the case of Dirge of Cerberus; Weiss was such thing. He was warped by scientists and eventually despised the human race - but he’s not a largely violent person. He has masses of self control in comparison to the other Tsviet’s and I think that’s where his intelligence comes in. I mean - toward the end [SPOILERS] where he and Vincent are near Reactor0... Nero does not react violently until Vincent threatens his brother and withdraws his weapon. His purpose was to protect Weiss, not to stop Vincent, basically; the two just happened to coincide.I think that if Weiss wasn’t an issue, Nero could have gone either way as far as villain or otherwise. His darkness doesn’t make him a villain automatically; I think if someone had come along and helped him on a better path, then perhaps he might have even been some kind of darkness-fueled vigilante. Or he may have gone down his own path of distruction. It’s hard to tell.I do believe, however, if he was given a purpose or an aim, he would not have cared what it was - in the sense of ‘good’ or ‘bad’. He has no morals, has no understanding of such a construct. So say if the WRO or whatever intervened earlier and like... overthrew Deepground before the whole Omega thing - then maybe Nero would have been persuaded to join so long as he had something to work toward and clear boundaries.I don’t know. I think it could have been possible to go either way, really. His instability is an issue, regardless; that would have to be accounted for. But I do think it was through influence that Nero was who he was, not entirely through his own choices.
