Mages facts:
There is a high chance that, if you get close to the mages, if you get sick or don’t are percieved to not eat consistently they will literally hunt you food. They will straight up bring you fresh game/carcasses. And it will happen without previous notice, one moment you are fine, the next you’ll meet them they will show up a little bloody with the fresh kill and offer it.
Feral part of brain will just immediatelly switch on, along magic. They will both just straight up take over and push the urge to hunt for whoever is sick or doesn’t seem to eat well. If confronted or talked about it they’ll just have a constant :T face, no smart ape brain, smart ape brain went for a stroll it is just dumb feral dork brain in here with magic.
