Top 5 comfort songs
it's very difficult to choose five, but hey let's give it a go;
1: this is on you by maisie peters
2: dancing queen by abba
3: i see fire by ed sheeran
4: 6/10 by dodie
5: geboren um zu leben by unheilig
definitely nowhere near close to listing all my comfort songs, and this mainly comes from scrolling a playlist or two, but all those songs have been part of my life since i was still in school (if not long before then) and i will still listen to when i want to for the familiarity
oh my the more i think of it the more songs i think of that absolutely deserve a spot near the top, for one those are mostly english language songs due to the playlist i chose and ones i would already have said age 15 (plenty in other languages that have been comfort songs as long as i can remember), and there sure are plenty of songs i used to be obsessed with but for varying reasons am not anymore - and of course many songs i have discovered in recent years which are very much comfort songs. i could go on for so long about each one aughh
What if being gay was real
I see hair of black, brown lions too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
I see balls of light and hearts of orange
The everlasting sun, the long skype call nights
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
The colors of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see phan holding hands, saying, "What can I say?"
They're really saying, "I love you"
I hear young queers cry, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
Yes, I think to myself
What a wonderful world
That would be
