"Ågren" - Cornelis Vreeswijk and Östen Warnerbring
"Miss Squeeze's ABC February" Day 26/28
"Ågren" is Swedish slang for a hangover, so this is a quite beautiful song about the morning after the night before. When trying to find a word to use in the translation I landed on "Vesalgia", which is an English slang term for a hangover.
The rhymes in the translation are far from perfect, but I hope the translated text can be of some use anyway.

30 Day Eurovision Challenge
Day 5 - your favourite entry by a male soloist
I learned about Eurovision through Melodifestivalen; the first thing I did was look up a bunch of Swedish entries. Som en dröm was therefore one of the first Eurovision songs I heard. I guess I have always been an old fogey when it comes to popular tunes—those orchestra swells still make my spine shiver. I love the duality of minor and major in this song, too. It musically feels very conflicted and bottled up, and the emotion is all the more intense for it. As for the lyrics, it's typical love-song stuff, but my pre-adult self found "din mjuka hand emot min kind" to be electrifying.
