“I’m not mad at you.” Lea states, their tone of voice more firm than intended. They clear their throat and exhale deeply, ringed fingers wrapping around the back of their neck. There was nothing to blow out of proportion, but the combination of excessive stress and disappointment had bottled up and resulted in Lea snapping at Sina. Beneath it, they didn’t have any ill intentions. They were aware that the best thing they could do was apologize, but their mood wasn’t feeling the utmost up for it. Perhaps when they’ve calmed down.
“I need a break. You understand, right?” Clammy hands fell to hang at their sides, plump lips pursed together in a line. “You’ve done nothing wrong. You know how you shake a can of soda, open it, it explodes? I feel pretty similar to that. You were just unfortunate to be the one to receive it.” Upon that statement, Lea felt guilt amongst realization. It was soon that they could be thinking of different ways to make it up. Whether it be taking her out or giving her a gift, they would always strive for their best; that meant treating their peers with respect. Sina was one of them, and they felt the need to especially tend to her today.
