“I’m sorry, please don’t be mad at me.”
RP starters: Miscellaneous angst↳ source + no longer accepting
“I’m not mad at you.” Lea states, their tone of voice more firm than intended. They clear their throat and exhale deeply, ringed fingers wrapping around the back of their neck. There was nothing to blow out of proportion, but the combination of excessive stress and disappointment had bottled up and resulted in Lea snapping at Sina. Beneath it, they didn’t have any ill intentions. They were aware that the best thing they could do was apologize, but their mood wasn’t feeling the utmost up for it. Perhaps when they’ve calmed down.
“I need a break. You understand, right?” Clammy hands fell to hang at their sides, plump lips pursed together in a line. “You’ve done nothing wrong. You know how you shake a can of soda, open it, it explodes? I feel pretty similar to that. You were just unfortunate to be the one to receive it.” Upon that statement, Lea felt guilt amongst realization. It was soon that they could be thinking of different ways to make it up. Whether it be taking her out or giving her a gift, they would always strive for their best; that meant treating their peers with respect. Sina was one of them, and they felt the need to especially tend to her today.
“We’re bad guys, it’s what we do.”
“Hold on, hold on–” Jax cuts the other off, putting his hand in the air and setting the controller down, despite the fact that the game is still playing in the background. “We’re the bad guys? I was almost sure we were playing the good guys. Weren’t we trying to rescue someone or something like that?” Now, Jax wasn’t one to know video games very well, but it wouldn’t hurt to try them every now and then. He’s sure they’re probably a good way to reduce stress, but now the new revelation proves to make him wonder what in the world he is playing. Don’t most games have you play as good characters? Why is this different?
+ jngsna,
rei bit down on her bottom lip as she watched the tears swell up in the younger girl’s eyes. she had been a victim of malicious comment her entire career (like most of her female colleagues), and used to let them get to her often. rei was thought to be cold by the average person, but honestly she was anything put. instantly, she wrapped her hands around the girl’s cheeks. “look at me. fuck them, okay? you are a beautiful, talented woman living your dream, and they’re in their room writing mean things all day for attention.” rei knew she couldn’t actually do anything to help sina, but there for her--it’s not like she could make her unread all the negative things people posted. “listen to me, if you let that get to you now...they’re going to control your career. you’ll never be able to make a move without thinking about what people are going to say about you...i’ve lived that life, sina. it’s not a place you want to be, i wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. you are stronger than you think, please trust me.”
