Jisung always did his best to be involved in every social gathering happening in town. It was nice to see new attractions, and also take the opportunity for free advertisement for his tattoo parlor. The downfall, though, was that he often knew nobody at these events. He rarely made friends past those he worked with and worked on, or neighboring establishment owners.
He made sure to bring two packs in, not knowing just how much he’d smoke or offer out to people to start up conversation and gear it toward his business. He dressed down today, simple black jeans, slip on grey ankle boots, and a long sleeved navy sweater. His back pocket held his wallet, coincidentally filled with business cards. Upon entering the venue, Ji quickly found himself a seating area with ash trays. He lit one up, hoping for someone to come around and spark up conversation so he could throw out his practices conversation.
He took a few drags, glancing around at potientials, spotting a few people with tattoos around the room and noting them in his brain to possibly approach later when the music died down so he wouldn’t have to speak very loud. Gently he set his cigarette down to check his phone, making sure there were no walk-ins he’d need to rush off for.
He turned his head the strangers words offering a smile. “Ah yeah, that’s mine but if you need an extra or something you can have it. I brought plenty.” He gave a small nod, glancing over them carefully.
They grin at him subtly, taking a single drag from the cigarette before they hand it over with a shake of their head, soft tussles of black hair bouncing over their forehead. “No, my guy, this is yours. If you don’t want it back ‘cause I already put my mouth on it then I totally understand. What I wouldn’t understand is why it would suck to have indirect or even direct contact with my lips.”
Usually they weren’t as vain, though they had consumed some liquor. This mixture of alcohol and confidence combined together to create an upbeat presence to the atmosphere they took place in. They felt lovely, and the night was no where near the end. “I’m joking, but if you don’t mind, I’ll take you up on that offer. I only have a couple of my own left.”
Within the front pocket of their sweater was a pack of cigarettes. Slipping their hand inside, they pull it out and open it up to expose the remaining few. They gave the sight a shrug, then tucked them back in safely. “You come off as a cool person already. You wanna come sit? It’s a little empty over on this side.”
There was a smile to their face. At their feet was a bottle, the contents inside half gone. Was drinking allowed at this venue? No one seemed to care, not even the host who was drinking himself. He was a tall, lanky person with a monochrome style. Despite his dull outwardly features, his personality was colorful. Lea respected him. Bringing the rim of their bottle to their lips, they sip quietly and shift their head at Jisung who sat on the other side of the end table.

“I’m telling you, she was nine when it happened. Nine years old.” A collected voice echoed down the street. It was their voice and they were speaking to someone they had met a few nights prior. Loitering the streets lined with bars and people guaranteed those kinds of things, especially for Lea. Tonight they had another story to tell this person whom they gotten to know on the surface, and listen to the things he had to say in return. Whether he did or did not, Lea certainly did. At an age still considerably young, they had an abundance of adventure and adrenaline (or casual) inspired tales to recite to anyone they found pleasure in interacting with.
“And you know where they found her? The basement at their house. She was hiding there the whole time and that stirred up this whole scene. She was only my neighbor for a year, but I was genuinely concerned that I would see headlines about her in the news after a while. I’m not one to say I adore children, not exactly, but this little girl had the music taste I wish I had when I was her age. I admired her like the sister I didn’t have. You know, at the time. Now I have three and they’re all back in Denmark with my parents.”
two idiots
Of course she usually was never one for such adventures, it had all come by naturally and Alice had seen nothing bad in that until she noticed Lea’s reaction. Both concern and confusion struck the older woman as she gazed at the other, demanding to know what was wrong. “The did I do something wrong-” That question was unnecessary the moment they opened their mouth and straight out confessed to the tattooist. Now what could she say to that. “I..I like you too, Lea..” But it was obvious that Alice did not really understand it right. She didn’t know about the other’s sexuality so it felt normal to think it was meant in the way of friendship. And yet for a moment her heart and throbbed heart, suppressed feelings bubbling up again that she had wanted to forget about long ago because she was sure they could never be returned. And yet, their words had sparked her hope again and it hurt in her chest. All the short female could do was bite her lip and try to ignore it. “I don’t think I understand. Why are you sad..”
Lea lifts their head momentarily, eyes drifted off to the side in deep thought. There was distress to the points of their features, the corner of their lips curled upside down to form a frown, and eyebrows pulled in together to furrow like a trench. They noted the confusion in her eyes and it made them start to think of ways to steady the out of control train in their thoughts. This was the last thing they expected to happen if their feelings would have ever come out of hiding. What was there to do now? This was their first love standing in front of them.
“I’m sad because I want to be the person to hold you,” This was a start. “The only one. But I can’t help but feel hopeless. I’m not the only one confused, am I?” It was like a debate in their head. As words came out, they felt like they were losing their tongue. It became harder to speak, and yet they wanted to spill and expose more of their aching heart anyhow. At this point, they just wanted to get themselves out there, and hope to be able to move on if these feelings were not reciprocated.

They didn’t know what it was that persuaded them to follow a path, one which lead into an expansive area of trees in the distance. Standing at the dawn of a dirt road, the view reminded them of a forest they lived near by when they were nine years old. Those were the days when their family didn’t have much other than their small home and few animals. The dry grasslands that were a part of Denmark is where they stayed for the majority of their childhood, all members of the family either working, going to school, or both. For Lea, it was both.
It was a relief to have him at their side. They weren’t hesitant to suggest that they follow the fresh tracks of hooves that trailed along the passage to the folds and waves of lush greens and fading oranges. From experience, they knew it was better to have a companion when it came to exploring locations such as the woods. The amount of times they had become lost was countless, and it was a miracle they turned out to be okay, but did they ever learn their lesson? Perhaps not, because they still found themselves lurking alone in places they shouldn’t be. But today was different at the least; with a packed bag, a friend, and an optimistic attitude, they were ready to dive right in.
“Don’t worry. I installed a GPS onto my phone this time. No more broken compass.”
Please reblog/like if you don’t mind rping with an unpopular face claim. I need more threads and my muse just needs friends, to be quite honest. It’s lonely, and I’ve been trying too hard, I guess since my muse is still friendless. Either everyone forgets to reply or they just stop the whole thread all together. I don’t know what else to do but make this post. So, please help?
TO ALL OF YOU WONDERFUL MUN’S THAT PLAY FEMALE MUSES: i love you. you are wonderful. the difference in attention that male muses get compared to female one’s is absolutely disgusting and intolerable. ladies deserve love. they deserve attention. ladies are fucking fascinating and are entitled to just as much regard and adoration as the male ones. SPREAD THE LOVE AROUND TODAY Y’ALL. LOVE ON A LADY MUSE.

The house show down the lane was bustling and lively. Events with underground bands and crowds of people varying in size and fashion sense opened up a world of recreation and socialization. It was a place where Lea could make connections. The delirium it gave them influenced one of their many hobbies: music. And usually, it only required a couple of measly dollars to walk in and enjoy the scene; at times, it was pay what you can. Because these house shows were immensely affordable, they attended several every month.
Each showing was different. Certain ones were better than others, but all were an experience to soak in. Tonight it was in a basement that was probably a little too sweltering for everybody’s taste, a faint haze of smoke hovering above heads. Despite that, it was tolerable. Some would go outside to smoke, some wouldn’t. Lea personally did a mix of both. With a burning cigarette between their fingers, they flick excess ash into a tray on top of an end table at their side. The small tables were what were placed between couches to separate them. Meanwhile, they observe the lining of attendees along the walls, sitting on floors, and resting on seats, the sound of music filling the flowing atmosphere.
“Hey, Lea!” A recognizable, disembodied voice calls out. Lea glances up to pin the source and right there, walking towards them, was a group of three acquaintances. They were people they had met at a previous show, and immediately a smile curled the outer corners of their mouth. Lea sets their cigarette down on the ashtray and stands up to greet their peers. The three represented a trinity of crust punk pants and customized, patched vests over top black t-shirts. They definitely stuck out to the public eye, and Lea admired their sense of identity.
After a couple of greetings, conversation, and goodbyes following afterwards, Lea plops back down on the couch they were sitting on and picks up their cigarette. However, they hadn’t noticed they had grabbed the wrong one until they looked down and furrowed their brows at the discovery of a different brand. Looking to their side, Lea meets a pair of eyes that appeared just as puzzled. “Oh,” Was their first reaction. “My bad, is this yours?” They out stretch the cigarette towards him, the mystery man they had accidentally taken from.

An abandoned steel underpass: it was the perfect opportunity to capture some photographs and stir up inspiration for later projects. It was dim, eerie, and silent besides the sounds of their own paced footsteps. Lea was inquisitive, intrigued by the brooding phenomenons in life. They wondered aimlessly in the empty halls of the underpass, the distinct crunch of leaves and miscellaneous objects beneath their leather boots, which would need some polishing afterwards to do them justice.
The deeper they adventured inside, the darker it got. Day light gradually became no longer. Taking in mind of similar dilemmas they could run into, they packed a flashlight in the red backpack resting on their back. Lea slips the straps off of their dainty shoulders and crouch, bringing the bag down on a dryer spot of the cement ground. Unzipping it, they search for the flashlight amidst other supplies, ones such as a personal first aid kit.
Meanwhile, they glance up occasionally. Besides the reason to keep an eye out for unkind or fearful animals, they had not heard anything that could have dictated there was someone else down there with them. Not even Lea had any knowledge of this place until they had discovered it while strolling the city. At last, they uncovered the flashlight, and switched it on before closing their bag and standing up. It was time to resume their journey.
When Lea points their light forward, the silhouette resembling that of a human appeared in the distance. It surprised them to the point of shock, making the small hairs on their neck spike. Who was it and how had they managed to get there in utter silence? The kick of a rock was enough to send echoes throughout the chosen environment surrounding them. The mysterious shadow wasn’t moving, still like as if they were staring back at Lea. It sent another series of chills down the length of their spine, but the adrenaline that came with it encouraged them to call out. They yearned to know.
“Hello?” Their voice bounced amongst the walls, reaching passed even the other body.

Another day, another book, another adventure into the imaginative mind of another author. It was something new almost everyday; almost because they didn’t have the time to finish an entire book in one sitting anymore. Back in their memories from public school, they remember completing more than one each day. That way, they had absorbed various amounts of information. and something had ignited a spark of curiosity for the world. They wanted to learn and seek what the continents had to share. Maybe that’s why Lea found themselves all over the city daily, why they worked more than one job to save up and add onto their funds.
Travelling was something they did often with their parents growing up. From Greenland to Egypt, fond memories of exotic food, gorgeous attractions, and wonderful people flooded their mind. They had seen so much of the world already, yet still had more to discover. What they would discover today, in fact, would puzzle them. In the library they skim through, the wooden shelves in the farthest part of the building and rattled spines of books were covered in dust, hinting that not many people came through here. So, when they stopped by a sleeping figure on one of the couches, they were unsure whether or not to try and wake whom appeared to be a female. It was near closing time, and they didn’t want her to somehow get locked in. Mishaps similar to such were no stranger to Lea.
She seemed peaceful, content in her dream world. They decided not to bother her, instead sitting down on a seat beside the couch she laid upon. I guess I’ll read for a while, they think to themselves. They deem it as a good idea, to read a book until it was time to go, and hopefully the girl would be awake by then. With an open story in their lap, they dive directly in to the alternative universe filled with malicious dictators and clever thieves.

“I’m not mad at you.” Lea states, their tone of voice more firm than intended. They clear their throat and exhale deeply, ringed fingers wrapping around the back of their neck. There was nothing to blow out of proportion, but the combination of excessive stress and disappointment had bottled up and resulted in Lea snapping at Sina. Beneath it, they didn’t have any ill intentions. They were aware that the best thing they could do was apologize, but their mood wasn’t feeling the utmost up for it. Perhaps when they’ve calmed down.
“I need a break. You understand, right?” Clammy hands fell to hang at their sides, plump lips pursed together in a line. “You’ve done nothing wrong. You know how you shake a can of soda, open it, it explodes? I feel pretty similar to that. You were just unfortunate to be the one to receive it.” Upon that statement, Lea felt guilt amongst realization. It was soon that they could be thinking of different ways to make it up. Whether it be taking her out or giving her a gift, they would always strive for their best; that meant treating their peers with respect. Sina was one of them, and they felt the need to especially tend to her today.

Saebyeol’s eyes glistened as she saw the cat finally being rescued out from the bushes. The cat must have been waiting for the owner before wanting to come out. “What an intelligent cat you have..” The woman commented as she looked at the feline with a fond smile, not bearing to lift her eyes off of it even for a second.
But when the offer was directed to her, she looked up at the kind stranger and shook her head while waving her hands, it was nothing and she didn’t put in effort. “Think nothing of it! It’s really nothing. Besides, i’m happy you found your cat too. Please, think nothing of it.” She grins softly. “Do you stay around here?”
“I wouldn’t have known she was in that bush if you hadn’t told me.” They remark, laughing off the last of their slight distress from the past few days. Ophelia was patient in their arms, looking about to observe her surroundings. Akin to Lea, her eyes glistened on the lighter side of the color spectrum. She was always on the go, and it was likely she had gone in search for adventure. Lea shared that trait with their animal companion and it was clear what the pair were: two curious cats.
Fingertips tenderly scratching the peek of Ophelia’s head, Lea looks the opposite way down the street embellished with warm tones. In that movement, they hinted her towards the general direction of their home. “Somewhat. I would say between a twenty and thirty minute walk from here.” It hadn’t been much at all compared to the hours they regularly spent on their feet everyday. Two different jobs in two opposite areas of the city was a lot to juggle, but Lea had the will for it. A question they would usually receive was how?
Amidst all of the working, training, and socializing, it was often they would meet figures of inspiration. Vibes of energy were consistent, and it was a charge for the extrovert that was a part of their personality. Returning their eyes to her, they move Ophelia to one cradling arm, and stick out the other. With their palm out for a shake, gratitude influenced their subtle actions. “Thank you, anyways. Are you sure you don’t want to take the offer? I’m a bartender in training, and I’m confident I can put together one of our more recent drinks in progress for you. It’s delicious, no doubt.”

“Don’t you dare to leave me, not now.”
“You didn’t deserve any of this.”
“Please tell me this is a nightmare.”
“Shh, it’s okay.. you’re safe now.”
“Why are you crying?”
“I can’t believe I did this to you.”
“I won’t let anyone hurt you again.”
“I don’t want you to die.”
“Talk to me.”
“I fucked up, alright? I’m sorry.”
“Where were you? I was so worried!”
“Stop saying you’re fine when you’re obviously not.”
“Seeing you like this hurts me.”
“I don’t want to live anymore.”
“Can you please just.. go away?”
“I’m worthless.”
“I’m sorry, please don’t be mad at me.”

“It’s nothing, I swear.”

“Please don’t leave me alone.”
