last week i decided to go get a bible that i use to study for further deconstruction and analysis and i did that by searching local churches until i found one that looked like the people were nice, drove there and went into the church office to ask for one. the person working gave me a really gorgeous PURPLE one of the NLT (new living translation) so now i dont have to spend $20 or more at the bookstore or smuggle a old king james one from my family's house (not a translation i want anyways) and i dont want them to get overjoyed and think im becoming christian (i have something far weirder going on)

its nice to have as reference instead of just online and i can take notes in my notebook and use highlighters in it. i was considering visiting the library or a coffee shop just to do deconstruction study because to everyone else it's just innocent bible study and people do that often! but then i remembered while it's unlikely anyone will bother me i might attract the wrong attention from people if i go to a shop and i can focus better on my own out of public anyway. the library is definitely better for that. eventually i want to get a (better) copy of the quran and other religious texts too if i can find them
