I am now starting to think about how the line "you're starting to sound like him" would set back Shane so much. Someone's fucking SEEN him and Ilya, he's even saying it out loud on the ice. Can only begin to imagine how this would impact Shane's relationship with Ilya. Think this does a fantastic job adding to why Shane is consistently so so terrified of any part of his relationship with Ilya being perceived.

first time making an animatic and of course it's bc of them. the gayest hyperfixation ive had in a while.

hey ok could you imagine if pyro was the one legs was trying to save?? i think it would have worked. i think it would have saved both of them

legs' unconditional empathy and his determination to see the good in everyone. his belief in redemption and that a persons worst moments dont make them monsters. pyro who has never been given that kind of grace by anyone. pyro who has been arbitrarily labelled as a monster creating the self fulfiling prophecy.

legs being the one who first openly identifies pyro as a victim of abuse, who recognizes the patterns in his behavior. legs being one of the only ones to consistently identify scott as the problem, who doesnt get swayed by his charisma.

legs would have been the perfect guy to offer pyro the support he needed to get away from scott. maybe pyro wouldnt have folded under scotts intimidation if he had another option, he could have fled and rejoined the town and gotten help from the guy whos working on the cure that he wanted to begin with
