ninomiya hairdresser au!!!!!!! :D
he runs a salon! his regular customers are kamimura, tei, yanagi, tamba, isoda, matthias, ogura, along with some others
kamimura actually just gets his hair done for free because him and ninomiya always have great talks about metal bands and also he lowkey can't afford to keep paying for his hair dye. and ninomiya's chill like that. kamimura was one of his first customers and they're pretty close friends so he gets a discount!
tei does pay, but that's just because ninomiya doesn't know how much he's struggling yet. he finds out about tei's multiple jobs over the course of their appointments and he's like 'dude what the actual shit how are you functioning' and eventually puts it together. he lowers his prices for everyone :)
yanagi makes boring small talk at first 💀 but eventually ninomiya learns that he can just yap and yanagi will listen to literally anything he says and kind of smile and nod. smile and wave boys smile and wave. so ninomiya just talks about his life to yanagi and yanagi is just happy to be there! they're not quite friends but they'd say hi if they saw each other in the street
tamba is also not a natural blonde and so she comes pretty regularly to get her hair redone. instead of ninomiya yapping, it's tamba yapping and ninomiya adding to her yap and agreeing. they gossip a LOT. it's great. ninomiya is judging every single person in her life and is ready to throw hands with like five of her competitors. they eventually bond over having strict asshole parents. tamba thinks ninomiya is weird at first but kamimura recommended him to her and the prices are cheap so who even cares. they become pretty close eventually! :)
isoda sometimes just tells ninomiya to do what he wants with their hair and lets him experiment a bit. whenever they do this he gives them massively choppy layered hair with shit tons of dye and absolutely goes to town on it. it does end up costing quite a bit but isoda has quite a lot of money so they don't even care that much. they get cool hair out of it after all.
matthias comes in at first just to get his hair trimmed, but the two of them get closer and closer and this means that his haircuts get more and more flamboyant. his hair gets shorter and shorter, more layered, until him and ninomiya end up with matching hair dye. i think matthias would want to learn how to cut hair. maybe ninomiya teaches him and matthias starts helping out at the salon! nothing too ambitious though because he's a beginner.
ogura is shown to the place by matthias. she would lowkey request random stuff she's seen in anime or internet stuff. 2017 rainbow peekaboo hair, gradient hair, pastel hair dyes. she doesn't shut up the whole time and it gets on ninomiya's nerves but whatever he's getting paid.
some extra customers!
hirose gets recommended the place by isoda kind of as a prank. but he actually goes without checking the description. he just tells ninomiya to cut his hair i guess, idk, something vague. ninomiya either misinterprets it or finds it too boring. hirose is horrified by his new rainbow raccoon stripes and half shaved leapord print dyed head. regardless he thanks ninomiya politely before going home to cry.
denden gets blue tips in her hair at some point! she's very talkative and sweet :) she does move a bit too much because she can't sit still but she's very happy with her hair and thanks ninomiya like ten times
tei brings ikeda to get ikeda's hair cut but ikeda won't stop moving and hates it when ninomiya tries to comb his hair. the appointment takes like an hour or two but ikeda's hair looks fabulous afterwards. ikeda hates ninomiya with a passion after it though and refuses to ever go back.
kumada turns up and makes initially small talk while getting her hair dyed - she thinks ninomiya is a weirdo but his hair is cool as hell and she likes his style so she wants to talk to him! i was about to say that ninomiya notices her motorcycle but then i realised she never had a motorcycle 💀 i always imagined her with one because i didn't know what a dekochari bike was 😭 anyway ninomiya compliments her bike and she's very proud and it's quite a comfortable atmosphere!! she's not a regular but she does come by every now and again.
yeah so this au makes me happy to think about. will maybe update more on it if i feel like it! 💕
