"Yes, exactly!" Giggling softly, she nods and lifts her hand up to cover her mouth before brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "Well, I wasn't sure if I could use that word since it's an injury after all and I'm sure it hurts at least a little bit but yes... It looks cool.... Interesting, you know?"

     “yeah, i get what you mean. it’s fine, i agree.” he laughs light-heartedly, action that even takes him by surprise; he doesn’t usually laugh, much less with strangers, yet it comes naturally just now. he supposes it’s due to the amusing topic. “it truly is alright though. it doesn’t hurt that much. especially now that i get to look like i’m part of some action movie, eh?”

''A fight?'' She mumbles softly, her head falling to the side as she watches how he moves his hand. ''It looks pretty painful. I hope it gets better quickly!'' Smiling, she bows her head a bit. ''I'm sorry if I seem too nosey. Just... your hand with that bandage reminds me of those movies, you know?''

     “it’s nothing i can’t handle.” sehun replies with another small shrug, gaze once more falling onto his bandaged hand that was of such interest to the shorter. he didn’t quite understand the curiosity, though as he hears her next words, he can hardly hold back an amused huff of breath that escapes right past his lips.

     “those movies about fight clubs and stuff, eh?” he adds to it, only because of how she managed  to amuse him, looking back at her with a raised brow and a hint of a smile tugging at the corner of his lips. “when you put it that way, it does look kinda cool.”

     “that frown doesn’t suit you, little deer.” sehun says, light and perhaps a tad playfully, just to try to lift the overall mood. he didn’t mean to upset lu han, much less for the smaller to see him sporting such an ugly bruise - but it happened, and now they’re there, and sehun just wants to make things right again.

     “it’s nothing. it will heal soon enough.” he reassures again, inwardly wishing for the subject to drop for not only is it a constant reminder of his current situation, he truly just wishes to see lu han free of worry. “let’s move on, mmh? surely we have more interesting things to talk about.”

     “do you even care?” he hisses, brows furrowed tight as he glares at the older. it’s not with full intention that he reacts so bitterly to christopher’s words, but sehun’s mood isn’t the brightest, not when sporting a bruise on his cheek and angry red marks around his neck. he doesn’t want people noticing— he doesn’t want christopher noticing, not when each second of it is a reminder of sehun’s situation, a pity party of his own when it gets down to it.

     or at least, that’s how the blond sees it.

     “it doesn’t matter.” he mumbles afterwards, followed by a heavy sigh as he crosses his arms tighter against his chest, glaring elsewhere for suddenly it’s difficult to continue looking christopher in the eye - especially when he’s finding himself craving the feeling akin to safety he receives when he’s around the older, and it makes him feel weak. “just- fuck this. go mind your business.”

“ are you okay? ”

     “yeah,” he mumbles, looking down at his own bandaged hand with slightly furrowed brows. he stretches his fingers and curls them into a fist again slowly, repeating the motion a few times. his muscles feel sore, and his hand definitely hasn’t healed yet, but at least he can properly move it already. “got into a fight ‘n stuff. happens all the time.” he shrugs afterwards, looking elsewhere for the apparent concern from the shorter was rather foreign to him, to put it this way.

It’s loud in the club and he had few drinks too much. The lightning isn’t the best and he had to stare for some time to make sure he was seeing right. He blames the alcohol when he approaches the guy he thinks he knows and pulls him in a hug only to not have it returned. “Oh!” He quickly pulls away, staring at the younger male’s face only to realize that no, he didn’t know him after all. “I’m so sorry! I thought I know you!” He apologizes quickly, not wanting to get in some kind of trouble.

     a furrowed brow raises at the stranger, step taken back out of sheer confusion over the sudden and unexpected hug. he’s used to drunken people in bars and clubs, be it lightly so or absolutely shitfaced, but despite the many different encounters he’s had, it has to be the first time he’s actually hugged.

     “might want to lay off the drinks for tonight, buddy.” sehun replies, though he sounds rather annoyed as he keeps eyeing the other male suspiciously. it’s not like he would start a fight over such small thing, but truthfully so, he hoped this stranger would take the hint to leave.

     “i suppose none of us do.” sehun replies, eyeing the passing people from the bench they sat at. he doesn’t quite know or remember how they got there, or why their conversation took such a turn, but there they are - talking of fools and kings, night philosophies and held back sighs.

     he kicks the heel of his feet against the ground a few times, tilting his head backwards to look at the park trees that were slowly but surely turning from green to orange and brown, signaling the beginning of autumn. “but in the end it’s inevitable.”

     “…really?” sehun asks slowly, words that are dragged from his lips like a sigh. he supposes the girl doesn’t really know who he is, or else she probably would have gone for a better choice of possible ‘new friend’, but now she is here and sehun doesn’t quite know how to deal with the situation. despite his stained reputation, it’s not really in him to rudely tell someone off, especially when they look this cheerful. though, giving a better look at her face, sehun can’t shake off the feeling he’s seen her before somewhere. “i don’t know how well that will work for us, shorty.” he replies instead, brow slowly raising at the girl.
