Familiar Faces || Felicity & Yuzuki
@moonlitxserenity;
[ ♥ ] — With as much as she traveled, Felicity encountered many different types of people on a daily basis. Mostly through work, and it wasn’t as if she kept too deeply in touch with most of them. Connections were hard to maintain when you were always moving from one place to the next, and despite her friendly demeanor, she made it a habit to keep herself distant from others due to her work as a critic. Couldn’t have too many people knowing who she was.
But there were a few people who were aware of who she was and what she did, at least to her knowledge, and she was currently staring one such person right in the eyes.
Once, back when she was just starting out, her editor took her along to a party housing some of the most famous socialites in the world, to give Felicity a little more brand building and exposure (in fact, said exposure was part of how she got her job at Mr. De Sainte-Coquille’s cafe). And this man... Yuzuki, had been one of the people she met there. Who would have thought she’d have nearly bumped into an old party friend here, in the streets of her hometown?
“Oh---” Felicity stops, adjusting the bag of groceries in her arms as she steps to the side to give the other pedestrians room to walk. If there was one thing about Leuda that hadn’t changed in the years she was gone, it was how busy the streets were. “Yuzuki? Is that you? It’s me, Felicity! It’s been so long, how are you?”
Starlight, Starbright || Frey & Melody
@dearestfrey;
[★] — When Melody opens her eyes, the sky that greeted her was one of darkness, its only source of light being the moon, and a sparkling canopy of stars. She blinks for a moment, trying to focus her eyesight as she sits up, trying to remember what she had been doing before she nodded off.
Rubbing her eye, she glances around the hill she was currently seated on, the feel of cool grass pricking at her legs and fingers. When she looks down at her lap, she sees a book-- a recipe book for several different potions and alchemical concoctions, and realization begins to dawn on her. “Oh...”
She’d come out to a hill on the outskirts of the island, near the farmlands, and had been doing some reading when she ended up dozing off. But it was still noon time when she fell asleep, though... yeesh, she must’ve been out here for a while.
“Alright! Time to head back home...” She says to herself, nestling her book under her arm as she brushes off her cloak and gets back to her feet, ready to head back when she sees---
“Frey!?”
The girl in question had been sitting not too far from her, and Melody couldn’t help but wonder if the mint-haired girl had noticed her here, napping. But her presence also begged the question: “W-what are you doing out here?”
Supplier Wanted
Date of Request: January 11th, 2018 Location: Arcadia Number of People: One person! Reward: Extra cash.
Details: Hey hey! Georgia Harper from Sunset Ranch here. I was wondering if any crop farmers out there, or really just anyone who grows crops, or gardens or whatever... can supply my ranch with some of their product? Carrots for my horses, grasses, flowers, and other plants of that sort! You’ll be paid handsomely for your services of course, and this will be a continuous thing unless I either plan to end it, or you want to quit yourself.
I know I could always go to the market for this, but this’ll save a lot of time! And fresher is always better, right? (Except not too fresh, please clean your stuff of pesticide and all that other crap before delivering it to me, thank you.)
If you’re interested, just visit me at my ranch, or call our number!
Thanks! ♡
Taking Out the Trash || Emiko & Rosetta
@spiritualmaiden;
【❧】~ Even though the Clean Up club wasn’t exactly the most desirable or sought out of the various extracurricular organizations the school offered, Rosetta was still incredibly proud of her place as president in it. Taking care of the environment was a very important thing, and essential to both the earth and everyone who inhabited it. She was glad to be part of a group of people who worked towards that cause.
And just because she was the president didn’t mean she should sit back and let her fellow members do all the work-- nope, she was always out there, at every meeting, picking up trash and recyclables right alongside them. Bending over to pick up a slightly dented soda can from the grass, Rosetta drops it into her bag before turning to another one of her fellow club members.
“How’s everything looking over in your area, Emiko? I’m almost done here.”
A gift for Katie|Joe and Katie
@waitressiisms
Joe didn’t spend near enough time with his little sister pal Katie, but she still thought about her all the time, so he decided to make her a li’l something for Christmas--and he’d even deliver it to her himself instead of sending it through the mail!
With the neatly wrapped package of his tucked under his arm, he knocked on the door of the house that Katie was living in with Ellen.
“Yo, Katie! I got a surprise for you!”
Language of Fragrances || Georgia & Will
@fireflyflxwer
[🐎] — For as tomboyish as people liked to say she was, Georgia liked plenty of girly things. While she may not have been the type who liked to bother with dresses or makeup or fancily done nails, she did appreciate the importance of smelling nice, and would often go shopping for perfumes whenever she had the time and extra cash on hand.
Honestly, if you didn’t import from the mainland, or get your hands on one of those alchemists (some of which would charge waaaay too much for their services), it was pretty difficult to get some of the best perfumes while living on Arcadia, since they weren’t regularly stocked in stores. Thankfully, a fragrance shop had opened up pretty recently, and Georgia had jumped on it at the earliest chance she could get.
Today was just another one of those days. After finishing up her farm work, she headed straight to Scarlet Scents & Perfumes with the money from her most recent paycheck, excited by the fact that she’d be able to splurge and buy things she wanted for once.
It doesn’t take her too long to arrive at the shop, and before she can take more than three steps inside, she’s suddenly greeted by Will, starting in surprise due to nearly forgetting that he even worked there. “W-whoa!” She holds a hand to her chest, right over her rapidly beating heart. Goodness, that scared her way more than it should have. “O-oh, uh... hey, Will.”
Will was someone she had conflicted feelings on. The guy seemed nice enough (and liked horses, which was always a plus in her books), but he was also a pretty wealthy guy who strut around like some fairy tale, flowery talking prince all the time. Not only was that cringe-worthy as all get out, but it didn’t seem all that genuine to her... like he was putting on some sort of act. It made her uncomfortable.
