Hello Jeremiah.
@drhalepitt asked: [ wash ] sender helps wash dried blood off of receivers face.
the patient had caught him off guard. he hadn't expected the sedation to wear off so quickly, but he supposed he should have. he'd come in combative, coming down off something that he wasn't coherent enough to tell them about. metabolizing the sedative that quickly was almost impressive.
it had been a long time since he'd gotten his bell rung that spectacularly. and the second blow from the wall behind him hadn't helped in the slightest. sitting on the floor with the heel of his hand pressed against his temple wasn't the most dignified position to be found in, but at least he was conscious.
there's mild chaos around him but he's having a hard time tracking it all. the usual tinnitus in his right ear was ringing especially loud right now. there's hands on him, he's not sure who's but they're dragging him off the floor and out of the room. there's iron in his mouth and he's not sure if its from his nose or lip. maybe both. sure that he looks like a right horror show being paraded through the central hub.
this was going to be a lot of paperwork.
he's put in a room, the lights are turned off and he's left alone for... well he has no idea really. what he does know is there's suddenly something cold touching his face. a hand shooting up to grip at her wrist before releasing her just as quickly.
"sorry. didn't hear you come in."

Connor sighed, shifting some papers around in front of him at the bench he was sat at. The world’s justice system may be up in the air right now, but he still wanted to pursue a career in law. “That’s the last time I try to study outdoors when the weather’s nice. All I can hear is screaming children.”
“If I see one more piece of litter outside of my house I am going to lose my shit. Stop being messy cunts. This is my fucking house! Clean your shit up. Clean. It. Up. Do you think I want to see your shitty gum wrappers floating in my rose bushes? I’m tired. Fuck it off.”
“I’m well aware I’m wearing my meal down my chin, but you can save your judgement, it was from a bag and I was famished. Supplies have been low and I’ve been too busy these past few weeks to go and find an innocent bunny.”
vanity moved like a woman on a mission. as soon as her door unlocked, vanity was headed straight for the bar car, a smile on her lips and a sway in her hips. there was no need for her to say goodbye to her beloved district — after all, in only a few short weeks, she'd be back here, a victory crown placed delicately on her head and wearing a beautiful gown that was sure to be the envy of the district.
no, what vanity needed to do was assess the competition — surely district one hadn't been the only district clever enough to realize that this year they didn't have to risk sending in some unprepared, underfed child. this year, they could send in the best of the best, and vanity wanted to know who, exactly, she was up against. sure, some of the outer districts had probably failed to put two and two together, but there were enough districts that she knew that some of them had to have sent someone worth competing against.
she takes a seat at the bar, on one of the fine leather stools. she waves a hand, ordering a tonic with ice and lime. it was the perfect drink to make it appear as though she was drinking alcohol, while surreptitiously keeping all of her wits about her, and the only one who would be the wiser was the bartender, and, well — it wasn't as though an avox could tell on her, now could they?
“Oh, hey. You remember me, right?” Allison started as she crossed paths with Jessica, not having seen her for a while now. A long time, actually. Enough for Allison to forgive the tension that had stirred between the pair, anyway. “I’m sorry, about what happened before. I was grieving — in a weird place. It's not an excuse, I shouldn't have reacted the way I did. That's not... that's not me.”
