Attempting to keep her family off her back, Marina never skipped a day of school. But that didn't mean she was actually going to class. Her home life was overwhelming, her parents' always on her case, and her social one wasn't much better. Her friends loved her, she knew, but they were often busy with their own drama, and one of the only female friends she'd ever had had now completely dropped off the face of the earth. For a guy, no less.
Studying was the last thing she felt like doing, so Marina often spent her time smoking out the back, hiding near the school's greenhouses. Today wasn't any different, and with a lit cigarette hanging out of the corner of her mouth, Marina rummaged around her backpack, looking for her headphones. Suddenly, the door beside her swung open. "Mierda!" She swore, turning fast, throwing the cigarette to the ground and stamping on it. Only, when she turned back, she realised it wasn't at all who she'd thought. Sheepish, and a little annoyed, Marina chuckled dryly, crossing her arms over her chest. "Thought you were a teacher."
