Why are we not interacting yet meme - Accepting!

Hey, I understand about being distracted! Whether it's trying to get through replies, or other hobbies, or adult responsibilities, or just plain being tired after everything else, plotting and brainstorming can feel like effort you just don't have at the moment. And sometimes you just need to wait when you have the focus and free time to devote to it!

That said, with my very limited Persona 5 knowledge, here's some vibes I could see:

Makoto and Sonia both seem, whether by choice or by circumstances, to find themselves in leadership roles with some amount of responsibility, so they could bond over that.

From what I remember, Makoto is very afraid of ghosts. I imagine she might look at Sonia and see "oh look at this well-mannered, responsible foreign girl, I bet she's normal with normal hobbies!" She will be in for a time if Sonia picks something to do for an outing. If it's haunted and/or possessed by demons and/or someone has died there in a gruesome fashion, she's going there. Don't even ask her about her various maps of rumored serial killers in a nearby radius anywhere in the world: Sonia likes to know where hauntings, possession, and slasher villains exist at any time. For funsies!

Makoto asks Sonia for a makeover as she wants to adapt a more feminine style of clothes and makeup. It is either a great success or traumatizing for everyone involved.

Sonia thinks Makoto's aikido skills are cool and wants to be taught some moves too!

They're both high achievers and would make good study buddies, except Sonia's Hope's Peak coursework for princessing is a bit different than Makoto's classes. They are fascinated by each other's curriculums.

Thank you for the feedback! I’d send the same emoji back to you too. I know you have a lot of blogs and interactions you keep up with alongside OOC commitments, so this means a lot. I don’t think I’m the easiest to interact with sometimes either as my preference is usually for longer threads, but I hope that memes and dashcomm (when I’ve got ideas for them) also can work for you too!

I will say that sometimes I have trouble interacting with multis who have a lot of muses I’m familiar with and could write with, though. For single-muse blogs or multis with 1-2 muses I’m familiar with and can write with, it’s a bit easier to send memes and the like because I always know who to send it to and, more importantly, which muses the mun is ready to write with me. For multis with a lot of muses to choose from, I can fill out interest checks but when I’m sending in prompts, I tend to second-guess myself. Is this an interaction the other blog wants to write? Do they have more of a preference for some muses over others?

And then I tend to talk myself out of it.

The absolute worst for me, perhaps ironically, are Danganronpa multimuses. Shoutout of thanks to muns who allow asks to be targeted to muses from just a specific game versus a specific muse, because I never know which DR muse they want to write with my Sonia over others. This is often why I hardly ever reach out to DR multis because the pressure to choose is often too great, and I worry about picking someone they don’t really want to write at the moment, or at least not with my muse.

I love writing, plotting, and seeing you on my dash too! I know your muse inspiration tends to ebb and flow, and that’s just fine by me. Let me know if you want to throw a muse at me and maybe we can work out a verse and threads!

That said, what kinds of chocolate do demons like? Do demons even like and eat chocolate? I’m asking for a friend. She’s already asked about how ghosts have sex, do you want me to subject the dash to her inquiries about if demons eat chocolate too?

At least Sonia’s asking the important questions here.

Thanks for the feedback! To be honest, I’m a little intimidated to interact with you for a few reasons, though they’d apply to any mutuals with similar situations.

I really love reading your threads and seeing your world unfold! You have a lot of complex plots and characters. But I will say, a lot of lore tends to feel both challenging and limiting for me to try to understand, synthesize, and figure out where my muse fits in as I’ve written and HC her. I’m very much someone who likes to worldbuild as I write: it leaves less of a chance to ‘break rules,’ so to speak. It’s also why I’m not good with group RPs and prefer indie, and decided to go indie with this blog. There’s just less I have to keep track of before I even start interacting with others. I also am not familiar with the anime your blog is based on (or the multiple series? I’m sorry: I’ve mentioned it in past threads, but most of my anime love is for relatively older shows). 

I’ll also say that there’s some threads and verses I don’t write a lot of, either due to comfort or lack of interest. Combat and most action threads are things I’m not interested in writing, mostly as I did a lot of those in my early RP years and got burned out. I like reading them when they’re written by muns who enjoy them, but yeah, they’re a struggle for me and I’d rather write topics/verses/scenarios I’m really interested in! 

I also don’t write all of Sonia’s verses in equal amounts. Specifically, I tend to only offer my TalentSwap!AU and Despair verses on a very limited basis: usually as part of a larger story or coinciding with other verses, muns I’ve written with awhile and fully trust, understanding that if I need to stop writing a thread that it’s not held against me, and with a lot of plotting involved and a very clear set of expectations of where the thread should go and any content limits.

TalentSwap has only a few stories I’m really interested in telling there and it’s harder for me to come up with plots that keep everyone engaged, and with Despair, writing a lot of that verse tends to affect my mental health negatively. I don’t really write villains for a reason, it’s just not for me. 

To be honest, I have more fun writing post-Despair and how it’s affected Sonia in the long-term than writing the events of Despair itself (and even then I can get bummed out/depressed over that easily! I tend to have other, happier threads with muns I write that verse with, too). I HC that it’s disgusting in plenty of ways and in need of lots of content warnings anyway. I have a fair bit of real life stress and negativity and bringing it IC isn’t therapeutic for me: it just makes it worse.

So tl;dr, I don’t write certain verses and situations all the time to keep writing here fun for me. I hope this is helpful for interacting! Plotting might be really helpful for our muses to interact, I think!

Definitely same on my end! I did lurk and read some of your interactions with muns and muses we both write with (and I’m just cracking up over the recent photoshop masterpieces you all are sharing!). But yeah, I think it’s just a question of being ready to plot and write and figuring out a scenario for Sonia and Jin to interact.

Or more accurately, see how fast Sonia’s cheerfulness, optimism, and polite nature get on Jin’s nerves. She’ll insist they’re friends after one thread. I’m so sorry in advance. As I tell others: if Junko Enoshima cannot get rid of Sonia and her insistence of their friendship, what chance do the rest of you have?

I also know nothing about BlazBlue but from our interactions so far, I don’t think that’ll be a problem!

Also with Jin’s birthday on Valentine’s Day, does this mean he gets birthday cake truffles? Because someone should give him birthday choco. Make him recognize his birthday.

So I know I sent you my thoughts on this already in an overly grandiose fashion, but ditto.

Though for the rest of the dash I’ll say: Sin gets to witness my very excellent plotting really OOC interaction on discord. 

In theory I’m a serious roleplayer.

In practice I’m reminded of the almighty Chest Discourse and how more than one of Sin’s muses have swayed Sonia with the desire to do-good, protect others, and CHEST.

We actually plot too, I promise. It’s how we’ve combined Fate and Danganronpa with my very limited Fate knowledge (I know nothing of Grand Order. Or...most of the series/games, really. But it still works! I know the important people: Luvia, Shirou, Rin, Saber, Waver, and Gray. Luvia is best girl. She owns anime Harrods and that’s what matters).
