I'M INCONSOLABLE I'm devastated. I wanted to bawl my eyes out at "Please hurry up. Hurry." That is genuinely so tragic he was begging for night to come so he can pretend none of it happened. Because if he can't see himself or the people around him, then he doesn't need to feel upset about them. He literally prefers the nighttime so he can more easily pretend to not exist.
